I cant believe no one has said the Forest scene in ROTF and it makes me so happy theres a tear in my eye.

Code of Hero for the win btw

I wholeheartedly agree. I found the fights in the live-action films to be quite lacking, they all looked like magnetic storms going at it in a scrapyard.

The scene posted above from the '86 movie is probably what I would consider the flat-out best (the higher animation quality kicks the cartoon series into touch, sadly); there's just something more epic and visceral in those moving line drawings than anything Bay conjured with millions of dollars. I only hope that in ten years time when the whole mess that is the Transformers franchise gets rebooted, the director sees this, gasps/faints/orgasms and goes 'I should copy that frame-for-frame in live action...'

'...especially the "I'll rip out your optics!" part.'

Off-topic, my picks for a Transformers director: Neill Blomkamp (did that Citroen commercial and District 9) or Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral).

beastwars episode gorilla warfare where Primal storms the Predacon base and takes out Waspinator and Tarantulas

Dinobot in Code of hero in Beast Wars always brought me to tears.

Megatron vs Primal last battle in BW and BM took a lot of animation.

My little brother loved the final battle of Starscream and Galvatron in Armada and Cybertron.

The one on one battles between Magnus and Galvatron in the G1 Comics. No matter what Magnus did he couldn't equal Galvatron's power ... and this broke him physically and mentally.

The battles between Rampage and Depthcharge come a close second.

Agreed. The final battle in BM was amazing, since it took us all over Cybertron.

i love the forest battle scene in rotf.

High five! I like code of a hero, that and the Autobot City scene in the G1 movie.

my favorite scene was from the 86 film, where optimus is running over deceps on his way to autobot city, rocket boosters go off under his bumper sending him upward, he transforms in midair, and performs a flip whilst gunning down bad guys :9000 :awsum

:agree "Megatron must be stopped...no matter the cost" intro to Stan Bush, wreckin Decepticons w/o taking a scratch. Then the fight w/ Megatron. "One shall stand, one shall fall." that was f'n epic right there! :tfsad

i love the forest battle scene in rotf.

I couldn't agree more. While the forest battle isn't necessarily the best TF fight scene ever it does kick more ass than a can can dancer on a mule farm.

I think the fact that some find ROTF less than aesthetically pleasing in some respects leads this particular battle to be overlooked or dismissed wholesale with the rest of the movie (which by and large I loved for the record). If you've seen the extended fight scene released on the Walmart version of the DVD then you know this battle gets even better than what was shown in the theatrical release. If anyone has somehow missed it, that alone is reason enough to run out and get a copy.

Well, walk anyway. I'd hate to see someone injure themselves.
