my favorite scene was from the 86 film, where optimus is running over deceps on his way to autobot city, rocket boosters go off under his bumper sending him upward, he transforms in midair, and performs a flip whilst gunning down bad guys :9000 :awsum

Irrationaly Personal Favorite(s): Brawn, 'Bee, Trailbreaker, Wheeljack and Jetfire taking on Shockwave, Soundwave and various, random seekers in part 3 of 'The Ultimate Doom' and Galvatron taking apart Torkulon in the G1 episode 'Webworld.'

Man there are a few that I forgot about. I wish I could instanly watch BW all over again, cause there were some great ones there. That one where Optimus Primal storms Pred Base....was that when he had a bomb or personallity altering device on his chest that made him go crazy and had violent urges?

Optimus owned that battle till Hot Rod showed up...(still think Hot Rod is kool though), still don't know if OP would have fired on an unarmed Megs.

I guess if OP saw him pick up gun then Op would have shot him through the chest...and see the blast come out the other end, and Megs falls lifeless face first...then insert an awesome line from OP.

 

Someone who is good at animation should reanimated that fight, but have OP kill megs right there as mentioned above.

Sorry, Astro. I just did ma search for youtube death of optimus prime cgi and the 3rd result was the clip I told you about but when you click on it it says "This video has been removed by the user." It's a shame, too. I saw it myself almost a year ago when I first started really looking for Transformer news online.

I couldn't agree more. While the forest battle isn't necessarily the best TF fight scene ever it does kick more ass than a can can dancer on a mule farm.

 

I think the fact that some find ROTF less than aesthetically pleasing in some respects leads this particular battle to be overlooked or dismissed wholesale with the rest of the movie (which by and large I loved for the record). If you've seen the extended fight scene released on the Walmart version of the DVD then you know this battle gets even better than what was shown in the theatrical release. If anyone has somehow missed it, that alone is reason enough to run out and get a copy.

 

Well, walk anyway. I'd hate to see someone injure themselves.

yeah i bought the walmart blu ray version @ 12am on that tuesday.

 

the extended version is much better. i remember when i saw rotf for the first time (in IMAX) and the part were prime kneels up and says "i'll take you all on" gave me chills. there are so many things i love about that fight, like after prime transforms and tackles megatron he punches him then whips out his sword. and when megatron is running after sam and prime tackles him to the ground. and when blackout whips out his blade and starts beating primes ribs. and you gotta love the part that's in the trailers where prime pulls megatrons head up just to punch it. you also have to love how prime breaks off starscreams arm and hits him in the face with it... and lastly.. i absolutely LOVE how prime dies. it was perfect, megatron thrusting his gun/sword/crab claw into primes spark, then blasts his chest into pieces. i think the animators did a great job with the fight, especially when prime falls to the ground. and you also have to love the sound in the scene. the sound was incredible.

Yes indeed, and if you look at the time and date of my post you'll see it was written well before your post unfairly accusing me of making overwhelmingly negative comments about the TF movies.

When Cloud & the gang are fighting Sephiroth in the city and... oh you mean Transformers :doh

Xenogears was soooo much better than FF7. too bad it didn't have the over advertising FF did.

Lets face it, TF has had some great fight scenes over the years. Some could have been beter like the forest battle in RotF. It's bigest draw back was all the holes and blurry looks. But ehhh.

But honestly I think two of the best battles are Dinobot's in BW and OP's at the begining of the first movie. He comes in strong and goes out strong. It above any other battle ever shows what a Prime is really made of!

Come to think of it after Starscream does his self mutalation...he kinda disappears untill Megatron falls...just like Starscream to run and hide. I just don't see him doing much during the whole Battle...he attacks Kup and Hotrod, then chases Springer and Arcee, shots foot, then kicks Megs when he's down...

I love Starscreams character, but the animators back then should have shown him do more....even in the back ground.
