The first movie had that damned jittery "action" camera crap where you couldn't see ANYthing with a degree of normalcy (and everyone complained about that), and now, when you can see them, people complain about not being able to differentiate them?

I agree that the second movie made more of an attempt to pull the camera out and actually show what was going on (ironically, a viewpoint that the first movie avoided for fear of depicting the various giant robots as anything but giant robots). Unfortunately, what the second film gained in terms of clarity of camera work, it lost in the areas of contrivance-free plot, egregious logic, misuse of geography and even something as simple as scene continuity.

Don't take my word for it - here's a (rather poor quality) version of the

. At the start of the scene, Scrapper is to the right of and parallel with Mixmaster. At 0:10, Scrapper is still to the right of Mixmaster, but now fifteen to twenty feet back from his previous position and practically behind Hightower. Two seconds later, at 0:12, Scrapper is now to the far left of Mixmaster. To those of you who have seen the full scene, you might recall that Long Haul and Rampage pull up on a far ridge prior to combination. At 0:26, Long Haul teleports down and behind Simmons and Leo and in front of Devastator (and then, in the space of fourteen seconds, travels behind Devastator to become one of the gestalt's legs).

Quite frankly, I don't think any viewer can be blamed for claiming confusion when dealing with a film that eschews such traditional cinematic practices as keeping the location of scene members consistent from shot to shot.

RoTF is not that hard to understand, Shia is my favorite actor so i'm not calling him stupid but come on

that makes me sad.

a rockin pair will trump robots any day, any situation.

Well said. Its a sad day when plastic trumps silicone. :tflaugh

exactlty!

It can water proof your bathroom, make your computer run faster, and take a chick from a 6 to a 12 so long as they hide the scars :)

Prioritize people!!!

I think him saying he found it "confusing" is a polite way of saying he didn't think it made any damn sense.

:agree Perhaps he caught himself before saying 'Lousy'. ;) Finally though...something we can agree on with Shia.

Completely agree, that was my main gripe about that scene too, JOP. These kind of inconsistencies and lack of attention to detail that worked in conjunction with the overall weak narrative was what created such a disappointing and somewhat uncomfortable viewing, personally. :shrug

I think on of the scene's Shia was confused was when Sam was being 'examined' by Magatron.

I like Shia a whole lot more now
