LaBeouf Hated Revenge of the Fallen, Calls it Confused

Recommended Posts

Shia LaBeouf, who plays Sam Witwicky in Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen admits that the sequel was a little "confused" and he often didn't know what was happening on-set, he reveals to FHM Magazine. He also believes the film "missed the mark" and "couldn't see what the f--k was going on...with certain robots," reports Monsters and Critics. Read more.

I can't really argue that. I enjoyed ROTF greatly but couldn't always tell what was going on. The climatic battle at the pyramids with Decepticons raining from the heavens was just too busy. If someone in the movie couldn't discern who was who how could the audience. "There's a whole lot of confusion coming our way!"

Congrats Shia, you are slower than my fifty year old father with serious attention problems.

I agree, I just enjoyed it for what it was. It could have been much much better, but I looked at it like an old BMovie and was able to like it.

I honestly do hope 3 is better though. When you watch the first one, there were so many different substories that tied in nicely. 2, just seemed like stuff happening.

Fun Fact: in the original storyboards the scene where ravage emerge from the ocean was set at midday on a california beach with surfer dudes and screaming babes in bikinis running away.

See then all we would need is a greaser tough driving his hot rod into ravage with a stick of dynamite

:awsum

One the most noticeable and least talked about special effects of ROTF was wardrobe hiding Megan Fox's bras. It could be I was just too distracted to keep track of all the action. Regardless, let's strap 'em down for TF3.

that makes me sad.

a rockin pair will trump robots any day, any situation.

Is he being serious here? Confusing? The first movie was a boring and convoluted mess. The second one was easy to follow, fast paced, and fun. And the boxoffice proves that people embraced the second film far more than they did the first film.

I think Shia's a talented actor, I really do, but if he found this film to be confusing, then he wasn't paying a damned bit of attention to the screen.

Granted, some of the fight sequences were a bit... much. But, if you paid attention, you had no problem figuring out who was who and what was going on.

If it truly were that confusing, none of us would've seen Prime rip out Starscream's arm and then promptly beat him with it, or cleave Grindor's face in two, or rip off The Fallen's face (while screaming "GIVE ME YOUR FACE!")

I grow so sick and tired of people complaining about not being able to see the robots or trying to figure out which one is which. If you'd just pay attention, you could clearly see who is who.

The first movie had that damned jittery "action" camera crap where you couldn't see ANYthing with a degree of normalcy (and everyone complained about that), and now, when you can see them, people complain about not being able to differentiate them?

Is this bizzaro world or something?
