WHAT THE F*3297gL!?!?!

It was my 3 year anniversary and yes I was in a hurry. I saw what I thought was ROTF Lockdown, jumped for joy, snagged him and ran for the checkout.

Btw, I took it home and hid it, leaving it in the bag because I didnt want my wife to know that I was buying a TF on our Anniversary. Not that she didnt find out later, but I went to open it yesterday, took it out of the bag and thats when I found out I had been had. And I no longer have the receipt either, contacting Walmart on that took place yesterday.

You want to talk about personal responsibility, how about not being a dick. Whoever does a swap, is a dick pure and simple. They cant stand the thought of playing by the rules and just dealing with what they have. Instead, they have to cheat and swindle to get what they want. If you REALLY cant afford a toy to the point where you swap it and return it, then you have no business in the toy aisle looking in the first place. Im not partially to blame for the mistake of me getting ripped off. Its ALL my mistake for buying it. Its someone else's fault entirely that this even happened in the first place because they were put simply, a dick. If it wasnt going to be me, it wouldve been someone else.

Thanks to every toy swapper for ruining someone's day somewhere.

Sorry if my opinion sounds harsh but instead of justifying being a cheat, just stop dicking others over.

it sucks, and i see it everyday, yeah toy swappers are an annoying problem, but its a risk we run now, and nothing is going to stop that especially with the economy being the way it is. besides that, this problem has been around now for a couple years, its your bad for not realising it yourself, im pretty sure you knew ROTF Lockdown wasn't yellow and black and huge, and before you start threatening to cut peoples throats, you should chill out and say, "whoops". its only a toy after all.

It was my 3 year anniversary...

:lol - I just had my 7th year anniversary, and I still hide TF's that I bought from my wife!

And yes, the person who swapped the product is a "dick" for doing so, but isn't that kind of like blaming the con artists who "fish" their scams via email to gullible people that voluntarily throw away hundreds / thousands of dollars to complete strangers? Yes, these scammers are "dicks", but the victims are also partially to blame for their actions.

All I am saying is that it just isn't that big of a deal to me. Yes, it sucks to be inconvenienced, but after a quick drive back to the store for an exchange the problem resolves itself, and maybe next time it would be worth a second look before rushing to the cash register.

I just don't understand the rage that comes from this, that's all.

Yeah people who do this toy swapping business are assholes and what they do is wrong but you also need to take into account that these toys are originally designed and made for kids, and a little kid isn't going to notice the things wrong with the the swapped toy, they're going to see the picture of the character, and want whatever is in the box regardless if it's not the correct item. Though another part of this blame should go to those people who work at returns, I mean honestly how the hell could anyone with even half a brain cell do a full return for that Activators Grimlock in the Voyager's box I mentioned before? WHAT....THE.....HELL....WALMART!

Now I can handle seeing the occasionaly toy swap, hell that Tarantulas I found made my whole week, but what absolutley sends me into a fiery fury of rage is when I buy a figure and find out that someone previously bought it and kept some of the accessories before they returned it. I mean honest to Primus that's what has been keeping me from buying a Burning Lockdown is because every damn one I found in the stores had the packaging torn up and the chainsaw missing, and I mean every last figure, Target, Walmart it didn't matter, there was no Chainsaw anywhere! Same thing goes with the new NEST figures, particulary Recon Ironhide, people buy the figure to steal the guns and the sticker and then return him to get "free accessories", now THAT is what makes me sick. :fire

Wow this thread is a real eye-opener for me, I'd heard of people returning 07 movie Prime in ROTF Prime packaging but I didn't realise it happened with so many other figs. Then again, retail of TF is so poor in the UK that most of my buys are online.

Important point though; if anyone sees a toy on a shelf that blatantly has been opened and isn't the correct item or has bits missing REPORT IT TO THE STORE. Only they can do something about it. You'll save some other sucker accidentally picking up the wrong thing, and the store will perhaps pay more attention when refunding in future...

See, it wouldnt even bother me as much if he at least came with his chainsaw. I HATE incomplete figures. I would rather have a broken figure that was complete then a good figure that was missing weapons. Its my biggest pet peeve. The missing half of Rattrap's gun still haunts me to this day.

My Rattrap is sadly gunless. I got him in a bulk lot (12 figures for $35 or so). It bothers me, but seeming as a complete Rattrap goes for about $70, I can deal. Having only half the gun would bother me though.

So as Ive posted in the Hauls section, I got ROTF Lockdown. And I finally went to go open him today (been waiting for no particular reason), and son of a bitch!

I realize that there is scotch tape holding the bubble together. Then I REALLY looked at Lockdown and said mutherfucker! Thats Animated Blazing Lockdown! And no NEST sticker! AND THEY EVEN TOOK THE CHAINSAW!

To anyone who takes back figures and puts other ones in there, fuck you. Usually Im more observant in the store but I was in a hurry and this has never happened to me before. Again, go fuck yourself.

Dude! That just sucks all around! at least the asshole who did the swap could have left you the chainsaw!!!

@ Liege, I would rather have him not come with the gun then only half of it. It drives me INSANE! Plus Blackarachnia is missing her entire gun, making her look really weird in beast mode. But that doesnt bother me as much as Rattraps!

Probably be easier to just replace that Black Arachnia.

The early BW bugs need there guns or else they just have giant holes in there bodies :bwpred

Here's pretty much my reaction when I see toys like this...
