WHAT THE F*3297gL!?!?!

Recommended Posts

So as Ive posted in the Hauls section, I got ROTF Lockdown. And I finally went to go open him today (been waiting for no particular reason), and son of a bitch!

I realize that there is scotch tape holding the bubble together. Then I REALLY looked at Lockdown and said mutherfucker! Thats Animated Blazing Lockdown! And no NEST sticker! AND THEY EVEN TOOK THE CHAINSAW!

To anyone who takes back figures and puts other ones in there, fuck you. Usually Im more observant in the store but I was in a hurry and this has never happened to me before. Again, go fuck yourself.

Wow tough break man, I've seen quite a few crappy toy swap attempts but the ROTF Lockdown one you mentioned seriously takes the cake. Though I must admit sometime these toy swapping people can be complete dumbasses (more then they already are I mean). I went into a Shopko about 3 monthes ago and looked through the Transformers Animated toys and hidden behind a group of voyagers was a BW TM Tarantulas in a Blackarachnia box, naturally I bought it in a heart beat and found the Tarantulas figure to be complete and in relativly good condition.

Even though you can always return the figure it's still pretty lousy that something like that happens in the first place. :fire

that sucks. PM me if you can't find him again, my Walmart has a ton of the figure.

I would KILL to find a TM Tarantulus instead of Animated Blackarachnia. Thats a score!

I at least wish this thing came with his chainsaw, thats his only redeeming quality as a repaint. Its just the ultimate in dickery. I would like to hunt this person down and slash their throat.

Granted I'm still a relativly new collector but I gotta say I actually enjoy finding some of these toy swap items simply because it gives me a chance to get figures from earlier series without having to go through ebay, so far BW Tarantulas is my only successful find but I've seen other toy swap items here and there. I know I've seen ROTF Ravage in ROTF Wheelie's box, I've seen Activators Grimlock in Voyager Grimlock's box (at Walmart, big surprise there), and I saw a TFA Voyager Bulkhead in a leader Bulkhead's packaging so far.

And yeah the missing Chainsaw part sucks, it's the only reason most people would want the repaint in the first place, that and the flames, because if Micheal Bay taught us anything it's that flame decals are awesome and Megan Fox is a wonderful, talented actress. :tfpuke

I've often hoped to find a rare, valuable old TF swapped for something in the store, as with this Tarantuls find, not that that's necessarily rare. I hope this not so much for my own gain, as for the unknown loss suffered by the sort of slime that does this kind of toy-swapping. Activators Grimlock? Arg!

Did you know that she has a head? And a face? I've never looked that far up on her...

Well the thing is I found the Tarantulas at a Shopko and if I recall correctly I paid about $15 for it which is about the same price to find one on Ebay (out of box of course), but still it's a nice surprise to find, that and Tarantulas is one hell of a figure....and a ninja. :notworthy

I still find it funny what some people put in place of the toy they're swapping, I know some people have found Cybertron Leader Optimus Prime complete and in good condition in a box for ROTF Prime, you gotta wonder how the process goes with the swapper after that. My guess is the swapper does the switch and then after two days finally misses the figure they switched it with and finds that the store they returned it to either hasn't restocked it or has already sold it, then they probably end up paying more money to rebuy the figure they swapped online. Karma's a bitch. :deadhorse

Well, I really don't see what the problem is here.

As others have mentioned... it's not always a bad thing to pick up something in a returned box that would otherwise be difficult to find in stores.

In almost all cases, the switched toy is pretty damn obvious - even if it is just a swapped out repaint of the original - I mean, seriously... just look at the photo of the figure on the back of the box. If you were "too busy" to notice what you were buying while you were at the store, then in my opinion you were partially to blame for your mistake as well.

Sorry if my opinion sounds harsh, but instead of wanting to "slash people's throats", why wouldn't personal responsibility not cross your mind at some point and simply return the figure to the store for a replacement?

It was my 3 year anniversary and yes I was in a hurry. I saw what I thought was ROTF Lockdown, jumped for joy, snagged him and ran for the checkout.

Btw, I took it home and hid it, leaving it in the bag because I didnt want my wife to know that I was buying a TF on our Anniversary. Not that she didnt find out later, but I went to open it yesterday, took it out of the bag and thats when I found out I had been had. And I no longer have the receipt either, contacting Walmart on that took place yesterday.

You want to talk about personal responsibility, how about not being a dick. Whoever does a swap, is a dick pure and simple. They cant stand the thought of playing by the rules and just dealing with what they have. Instead, they have to cheat and swindle to get what they want. If you REALLY cant afford a toy to the point where you swap it and return it, then you have no business in the toy aisle looking in the first place. Im not partially to blame for the mistake of me getting ripped off. Its ALL my mistake for buying it. Its someone else's fault entirely that this even happened in the first place because they were put simply, a dick. If it wasnt going to be me, it wouldve been someone else.

Thanks to every toy swapper for ruining someone's day somewhere.

Sorry if my opinion sounds harsh but instead of justifying being a cheat, just stop dicking others over.

I bet that it was some little fucking bastards that did that because one time I bought some games from a wal mart here and one of the discs were missing and I went back to where I got it and the lady behind the counter told me that they had problems with people taking software and she let me go back and grab what I got and I didnt have a recept
