Here's a special piece made for me by chans formers (cybertron.ca). When I decided to downsize my collection, I just couldn't part with my Galaxy Force Live Convoy, an awesome mold imo. But since I collect all versions of Optimus Prime I can find, I remembered a custom I saw on a japanese board a few years ago. Why not turn Live Convoy into a Prime? By sanding down the nose and mouth, one could easily achieve a Prime-ish head. I contacted chans formers, sent him the toy and pretty much gave him carte blanche for the deco. As long as it looked like a Prime, I would be happy. Here's how the project turned out...

I really like what he did with the tail, making it look like Prime's trailer. Initially, the part that reads "RESCUE" was red, but when we realized that part is actually the back of the forearm in robot mode, we decided to make it blue to give the front end of the chopper a more unified look. Worked out pretty well! Also notice how the missile launchers sorta double as smokestacks and the grill/chest windows pattern on the torso.

All I can say is...that's sexy. :tflaugh

awesome

Btw, "J-022309" is a tribute to my daughter. :)

I gotta say, Hell Yeah!!!

Congradulations an an awesome one of a kind piece :thumb

Interesting. *shuffles fingers like Mr. Burns*

It works very well as Optimus Prime.

looking good

Holy cats, that's beautiful! AND exremely well done, too. And the tail number tribute is priceless, a nice touch. :thumb

That's a col custom. I normally don't like this figure, but I gotta say it works well as a Prime and it's a nice change from the truck alt mode
