Mysterous Frenzy Rumble Acticon Figure Prototype Surfaces

Recommended Posts

Thanks to tf-op for the heads on a prototype image that has surfaced on HK-TF for a new Transformers robot action figure that closely resembles the Soundwave cassettes character action figures Rumble and Frenzy. The head and torsos are dead ringers for the cassettes the way they looked in the G1 cartoons. Read the Full News Story Here

Could it be Universe 3.0..........perhaps to join Ravage? Who would he be paired with? An updated Soundwave I wish....

I wouldn't see this as "competing" with their Encore series cause outside of fans, most transformers customers probably aren't even aware of the Cassette Reissues. I hope this along with that image of the red car we got the other day are just a few teases of Universe 3.0.

that looks cool. With the advances with TF manufacturing....I think it is about time for them to get an upgrade/update. That mold looks like they could even fit "Jackhammers" into the arms to create a G1 Cartoon accurate Rumble. What color is accurate though when it comes to the coloring? The TV show or the Actual toy??? I Prefer Rumble in red instead of blue personally.

I thought this was about a figure that Customizer Frenzy-Rumble made. Wow that name has been branded to me.:wat

Action is misspelled in the title. :lol

OK, it's either Rumble or Frenzy. Looks like Hasbro may be up to something good!

-everyone knock on wood-

Its been made known that the people involved in Universe want to release an updated Soundwave... That will be great with this guy...

Hmmm, might other cassetteformers be in the works...? *still listens to cassettes* :wtf

It's a new faction- the Acticons!

Ooh this looks so money. it definitely looks like a Hasbro product to me, or at least im really hoping it is. As much as i support the fan produced figures, i can't always afford them. my question is this: what in the heck is it gonna transform into? from the parts there, it looks like a simple box, too thick to be a proper cassette, but hey, im not complaining.

On another point

Chances are this is another fan made type project. Hasbro and Takara are much more careful about letting things leak out in this for. Moreover, the Generation 1 casettes are being reissued in the Encore series and it highly unlikely they would be competing with their own sales.

Im aware that this is a humble transformers fan site, but this is a news article, what facts do you have to back up this editorial statement?

That's definitely Hasbro's/Takara's work right there. You can tell because of the way the joints and hands are made.

Also, I do recall Hasbro responding to one of our questions a while back. It mentioned that if they did Universe 3.0, Soundwave would be one of their top contenders to be remade. Could this be proof?

Oooh. It's not Frenzy or Rumble! It's Enemy! I'm sure of it. He's broken free of his radio bonds! :lol

Anyone else thinking he's still gonna transform into something cassette-y? I'm figuring with the way the legs are designed, he can. The foot folds in, make him do the splits, bend the lowerlegs upwards at the knees..maybe rotate the waist around...and there's half of it done.

I'm not sure on how the top half transformers, but I'm guessing the head goes down, the shoulder slide up, folds down covering the head...and.. ??? I'm stuck there.

Anyhow, if F/R/E is a scout, how big would a Soundwave have to be? :tfhuh

He better fit in my Soundwave's missile booster, that's all I'm asking. Soundwave_by_shinkoushoku.jpg
