I regret not buying Break Away when I saw him. The ONLY deluxes I see now a days are as follows:

 

Chromia, Wheelie, Skids, Mudflap, Brawl and the Jazz repaint.

There's plenty that I've missed over the years. The first one that comes to mind is the God Fire Convoy giftset, as well as the Cosco (or was it Sams Club) yellow RiD Prime and black Ultra Magnus two pack. The TF2000/Car Robots line, along with Masterpiece Convoy are what got me back into collecting. I'm glad that I at least have both of the regular versions of Super Fire Convoy and God Magnus, it's easily one of my all-time favorite TFs, and I would like to have those other 2 color variations of it, the GFC giftset being a clear version.

 

Then there was the opportunity that I had at one point to buy an unused Victory Saber giftset. I could have gotten it for $500 shipped, and the seller was going to allow me to break it into payments. But that ones bittersweet; it was an eBay second chance offer after the high bidder backed out. But between the time I was outbid and got the second chance offer, I managed to seal a deal for my Goodbye Megatron giftset, for only $400 shipped. Seeing as how I'm a Megatron collector I can't be too upset, but I would still love to have a vintage Victory Saber giftset. I guess the Robot Masters version will have to fill that void for the time being.

 

Oh, how could I forget about this one..., of course, it's not that I passed on it, I just missed out. A few years ago I found an original 1985 G1 Japanese #16 Megatron on eBay, factory sealed! It was an eBay store listing, so it was up for a good two months. I contacted the seller regarding my extreme interest in the figure..., short of the VSX Giftset, the G1 #16 Megatron has been the most difficult Transformers version of the toy to find, but I didn't have the extra cash laying around to buy it. I asked if he would consider payments, as I really really wanted it for my collection, normally I'm not big on MISB, pretty much my entire collection is open for the sake of opening it, but that one, that one would have gone to AFA. So, he opted against a payment plan, and told me it wasn't going anywhere, as the eBay listing was ending the following day, and told me to contact him once I managed to save up the money. Three times I had gotten the money together for it, but each time something came up, and I had to spend it elsewhere: car repairs, medical issues, always something. Then I found the seller here, he's a member on the board, and told him about my recurring saving problems. So I offered him an extra 10% of his eBay askin price if he would allow payments. But by then, he had already sold it, for considerably less than his eBay asking price. Safe to say we were both bummed out a little bit, he could have gotten a lot more for it from me than he wound up getting, and I missed out on a incredible Megatron for my collection.

 

I'm sure there's plenty more, maybe I'll add to the list if some of the other big/good ones come to mind. But those definitely stand out most clearly in my mind.

So far one of my biggest regrets is not buying Fortress Maximus when I was much younger. That 100 price tag was nothing when I was living at home, in high school and working a part time job. Still kicking myself for that one.

 

As for more recent times... Animated Wreck-Gar. I saw him on the shelf, didn't have the money at the time or at least didn't want to spend it, then it took me about 500 miles and 3 or four months to find him.

 

Universe Galvatron at the time I didn't like the figure, now I just need him to go with Cyclonus(yes I can still buy him if I look hard enough)

Cybertron Primus -- I will never see him on the shelf again and I remember when there were piles of him at my local Walmart. I suppose if they can reissue Unicron they can reissue Primus

Oh and of course the dumbest thing I could have ever done... not bought the re-issue Predaking gift set!!!!

I just blew my month's TF budget on HAmblebee and HAde Swipe, so I wouldn't be able to pay you for a while. Maybe next month I'll be able to find him, or better yet, Thrust.

Just found thrust, gears, icecream twins, jolt, and blazemaster. And also the recolor scorponok. Got my paycheck today to; gonna cash it tommorrow and buy me some toys!!!

I wouldn't necessarily say I regret not buying them but I guess it would be nice to have them. Here's my list:

 

Alternators Swerve - friend of mine picked asked me if I wanted one but I didn't like the corvette mold so I passed

 

Brave Maximus (from Car Robots?) - could have picked him up for $100 when he was out and I even met with the seller to buy his Optimus

 

Predaking Reissue - could have gotten him for insanely cheap but I was trying to draw the line somewhere and that's where I drew it

 

Classics Devastator - Saw him a couple of times but that was before I was trying to be more of a Classics completist. I didn't want to pay $30 for him so I don't want to pay ebay prices for him either

 

Sami's Classics lot - member Sami was selling her Classics as a lot and it was a good deal but then I had a ticket/accident/or something so I couldn't buy them. I would have gotten a lot of figures that I needed and lots of doubles that would have been nice to have.
