Disney bought Marvel

Now I wasn't sure what section to file this under so I just picked. That out of the way...

Hasbro has been making Marvel toys for some time. With Disney taking over, one can only wonder about the future of that alliance.

Sure it could mean that We get Optimouse Prime imported.

It may also mean that Marvel figures can be taken out of Hasbro's hands. If that is the case, it would be a pretty huge loss for them.

I hope thats what happens, not to be a hater, but because it would possibly renew Hasbro's intrest in their other lines such as Transformers, and GIJoe and bring back a care and quality that once was (as well as some missing figures from several lines)

Then again, it could signify a new merger that may deter Hasbro's intrest in said lines further...

Who's to say, but either way, whatd do you hope and think may or may not happen because of this.

(also, if a MOD deems there's a more fitting topic for this, sorry and feel free to move it there)

I wonder how this buying of marvel by the mouse will affect the world. Think of how massively toys, movied and comics may change because of this!!!! Maybe this is the sign the Mayans talked about when they fortold the end of the world!!!!!

Ok seriously, I like both companies. Hasbro has dissapointed a lot latly but with them starting their own network company and Dis already having a large influence in several medias, maybe we will see hasbro increasing the quality of their products due to the increase in compatition..... Hopefully...

Thats what I'm hoping for.

Not to suprized over this either, Disney has been rerunning the Marvel shows for years now.

-awaits Spider-Man Mickey Mouse crossover featuring the Queen from Snow White...

"Spidermouse, spidermouse, does whatever a spidermouse does, eats his chessee crawls up walls hey watch out for that spidermouse."

"Mouse formers, more than meets the chesee. Autoducks rage the battle to destroy the evil forces of, the goofytrons."

(ahhh the music in my head....)

AAAnd now the music is in MY HEAD!!

two or three years from now we can revive this thread and reflect on how well/poorly the purchase worked out.

Optimash Prime and Optimouse Prime can comfort you if you would like?

Or this could be a good thing, and Hasbro ends up striking a deal with DC in the absence of Marvel. DC Crossovers FTW!!! Damn I want a Batmobile SO BAD! And a Joker!

They'd have to wrangle the rights back from Mattel. ..which is kinda of interesting. Hasbro had the rights to Toy Story, and now it's Mattel's.

^^^^^ TOOOOOOOO MANY CrOssOvers HEad ExPloDing!!!!

I would rather have some good new TF's than StarWars-Marvel-Disny-dc and all that extra crap... The $$$ they put into those molds could go into better non repaint molds and a better dev....
