Soundwave and Space case

Whats up with that radiation symbol-ish thing? Is he also hauling nuclear waste?

I just don't think it's a good combination of figure...

Soundwave is just... not cool. Dont' get me wrong, I love G1/G2 figures too, I love it every time I look at my God Jinrai figure, I don't really mind them being "bricks". I think it would have been MUCH better if they put all 4 cyberjets into a mega for 20. I'll so buy that.

isn't soundwave called stalker but its the g1 euro line they came from the turbomasters and preditors like falcon thunderclash and rotorstorm

i think why soundwave is a brick is the g1 euro has a see though scope like king atlas has you know that gimmick that jets like falcon can combine and they have a battle sence which you can see if you look though the missile or tail peice

Machine Wars Soundwave ( http://tfu.info/1997/Decepticon/Soundwave/soundwave.htm ) was recolored from the European Stalker ( http://tfu.info/1992/Decepticon/Stalker/stalker.htm ).

He is a brick because he has little articulation (his arms and legs swing on pivot-joints). The "see-through" scope is inside the missile. I don't know about MW Soundwave or Stalker, but TFU Soundwave's missile has an Autobot symbol in its scope sight.

The small Predator jets worked with either Stalker (which is now Soundwave) or Skyquake (King Atlast).

Both had their own battle view when looking trough their scope but each jet also provided one. (That is if the sticker is still there.) :tftongue

It is a very cudely drawn and painted sticker of an Autobt so the battle scenes are not spectacular. But it is a neat feature. I am fortunate enough to own all 6 Predators and 4 of the Turbomasters. :tfgrin

stalker had a blueprint of rotorstorm in his missile

Man, both Soundwaves look like early custom jobs. And that Soundwave from Machine Wars and not G2--I'm 99% sure of it.

Crap, Dark Lord Prime beat me to the G2 thing. Shows how much I've been paying attention lately. :tfhuh

What's all the ruckus? Soundwave looks quite fine. he's not that bad.

Unfortunately I now own this set. Soundwave is just as much a brick as all the G1 figures that people complain about except that he's a low-quality brick. The G2 figs have a distinct lack of quality to the designs and to the plastic generally used for the toys themselves.

I won't even get into his paintjob...

Definitely time for a custom repaint.

For such a huge whiner, I'm surprised you actually bought the set. :roll I know this'll come as a shock, but the domestic figures tend to come in window boxes :yay

:pfx I agree it a GREAT pack
