Favorite underrated figure

Push lever propellers have been around forever. I find it hard to imagine that a mold that new would be one of the first.

I know there's more, but I'm drawing a blank on anyone before Armada Cyclonus.

2 that really need mentioning

TF1 Incinerator

http://www.tfu.info/2008/Decepticon/Incinerator/incinerator.htm

Sure he has no hands, but there is no lack of awesome in this figure. Great alt, Great Transformation. I have 3, they're Blackout's henchmen.

Another great figure is Beast Wars Neo Corahda

http://www.tfu.info/1999/Cybertron/Corahda/corahda.htm

he has a great squirt gun weapon that works in both modes. A cool whip arm that isn't a bunch of ball joints. He's got a great shogun warrior look, and an awesome King Cobra alt to boot.

Cobra Commander must be pist that he's a Maximal!

Anyhow, if you ever come across either, and ponder the purchase, I'm just saying, you'll be pleased with these guys.

Funny that you see Corahda as having a "shogun" motif because he's meant to have a Mexican "bandito" motif! :D The cobra mode's hood looks like a sombrero in robot mode. :)

I think Landcross is freakin' awesome. It featured Energon's Powerlinx gimmick way back in 1989 and IMO was better executed (especially for its time) because each time you combine any two toys you got a new character. e.g.: Machtackle has a different head that is not Mach's head. Likewise Tacklemach has a different head. With Energon if you link Hot Shot with Inferno, it's just Hot Shot on top of Inferno... it isn't quite a "new" character as with Multi Force. And on top of all that, they can merge into a gestalt robot!

Lio Kaiser also deserves more praise as being the first Transformer gestalt that heavily featured self contained parts. Except for the head, all the parts of Lio Kaiser are built into the individual Breast Force members! That's awesome! It made it impossible to lose things like hands and feet. For 1989 this was groundbreaking.

I think shogun with that figure because it looks like a picture of an armored samurai my friend use to have in his house. So thats just me!

I've always been intrested in Landcross and am looking for an affordable non-KO version. Leokaiser is on my list to, but with him and Dinoking reaching near or over $1000, they're something to get later...

You didn't get the reissue? I thought the reissue's pretty nice. The faces are painted better than the original (although the originals are more like they appear in the cartoon). Some people don't like how reissue Tackle is orange instead of vermillion, but I don't care (I have both original and reissue Tackle anyway, heh).

Btw it's "Lio" Kaiser, not Leokaiser (pronounced like "Lye-oh" not "Lee-oh"). I wish they would reissue this toy. The only Breast Forcer I have is Jalgar. I have the crappy Hasbro versions (Autobot Rescue Force) of Jalgar, Killbison and Drillhorn; but they suck... and more importantly, are NOT the same characters. If I ever got Leozak (easier to find the Hasbro version though), Gaihawk and Hellbat, I would mix them with the Hasbro versions to make a hybrid "Rescue Lio Kaiser" (although if I had Hasbro Leozak it would have no head!), but there's no way I would display them like that! For one thing I display all my Transformers according to their series in approximate chronological order; my Decepticon Breastforcer(s) is on my 1989 Decepticon shelf whereas my Autobot Rescue Forcers are on my 1992 Autobot shelf.

Please reissue LioKaiser, TakaraTOMY!!

I don't really care about Dinoking so much. I have Monstructor and the mould is pretty underwhelming. :P If they reissued him I'd get it, but it's not worth chasing after the originals which I imagine you'd have to pay through your nose for. :/

My only Breastforce figure is Dezarus, and he's awesome. Victory figures are very few on my shelves actualy. I'm working on changing that but so many are near impossible to find. Galaxy Shuttle being one of my personal struggles to find in decent condition and complete.

Right now though concerning rare vintage Import, I'm trying to find a complete Zone Sonic Bomber so I can complete Big Powered. After that, Grandus so I can complete The Battlestar.

All in due time...
