I'll give ya one reason to hate ROTF...b/c we knew Hasbro wouldn't give us ALL the figures in the movie! Not even Scrapper, Hasbro?...that's BS! :damnit

 

I would be really happy to see Scrapper and then any other off-screen character they want to throw at me is fine. Who else did they leave out? Overload, Hightower, a new Bonecrusher that they previously said they would like to redo at a voyager size that I would totally want to own. And thats about it right? Maybe some protoforms. Alice I guess if that were possible.

Yeah, who the hell was he? Dude, they've got a ton of other characters that could be produced from this movie...yet it appears they're refusing to make the effort. You'd think they'd want to keep the gravy train going. :shrug

 

I will give the movie one silver lining....

 

 

.. it cured the 'completist' in me.... even for just 'movie appearance' characters. Heck, they are not even releasing allt he chateracters (see constructicons). I might save a ton of money and take 'all' the ROTF figures back. Better yet, I bought them on sale... i bet I can get full retail back as Target and walmart take anything back. :tfevil

Testify! :hbang Bonecrusher was one of the coolest looking bots in film one, and Overload and Scrapper looked wicked in their concept arts, but I can't very well buy hasbro's product if they don't MAKE it, now can I?

 

And also if they just do Flareup as a repaint rather than complete the Bike combiner set, I am going to impale someone (Just kidding, I'm not a violent person. But seriously? I am NOT buying some stupid repaint in lieu of the actual character design for Flares.)

IMDb seems to confirm this. It lists Frank Welker as the voice for Soundwave, Devastator, Grindor and Reedman. In the trivia section on Reedman's wiki page it says that Reedman was 2-D guy's production name (kinda like how Rampage was Skipjack and Demolishor was Wheelbot), but Hasbro didn't give him a proper name so Reedman stuck.

^^^Sounds like he was named after someONE. Maybe one of the designers or effects guys, simply as a joke? And then they never named him properly so we're stuck with Reedman?

Actually I kind of like the name Reedman. It grows on you. I think it's because it's so unique and because he's an adorable guy with a nutball name.

I pretty much have all the same gripes as everyone else, and to was devastated and disappointed by how things turned out. But if there was one thing that got under my skin the most was one thing. Leo. Why was this waste of god knows what put in the movie. He did not serve any purpose what so ever except to piss me off. He did nothing for the story, I think my unborn son on the way could act better, and was just useless. Why did Orci and Kurtzman create him. Simmons should have shoved his ass out under Devs foot and let gravity do the rest, or Alice get rid of him for using bad pick up lines.
