Broken My Will

Recommended Posts

I FINALLY saw ROTF today. ARE YOU ALL HAPPY!?!?

And despite my angst towards it I was entertained, even tho there were a few WTF moment. My main gripe with it is that characters tended to pop up or disappear randomly. Like Wheelie just vanished after some humping, Twins just vanished after fighting Devastator (thanx for helping Simmons jerk-offs), Jolt magically being in the right spot at the right time, etc.

Although I will say, Sideswipe was in it a lot more then I thought he would be (after reading many other complaints), even if he didn't speak much at least he got to run around with the Bots. Jolt a little less but at least he was at the airport.

Another one of my complaints is Jetfire/Prime's combination. So Jolt zapped electricity into both of them, and they magically flew together? That just didn't compute with me, but whatev.

All that stuff aside, there ya go ROTF fanboys, a hater just sided with ya. I enjoyed it.

:yay Breaker! My recommendation...let it all sink in overnight & see how you feel about it in the morning! :thumb

I never understand angst towards something never tried.

Nothing wrong with having a notion about something, but you can't deny the old addage, don't knock it...

It's basicly why I can honestly say I didn't like Animated. I saw the shows, bought the figures, saw first hand that for me it's a fail. So since I put my money where my mouth is, I got that honest right :P

You know what's scary? I had the same experience. All the WTFs and plain enjoyment. At one point, I was so bored, I wanted to walk out. Now, I wanna see it again, bad

^Another suggestion...I've got a local dollar theater...I'm gonna go catch it for a second viewing on 50 cent night! :D

my $2.50 theater shut down.

To bad to cause you could do whatever you wanted there. There was also a chance of getting herpies from the seats, but still...

After letting it sink in I still feel the same way. There are still plenty of aspects that I don't like about the movie, but it was still entertaining nonetheless. One of the things I actually enjoyed (I can't believe it) was Skids and Mudflap. They are still really really ugly but the racism aspect I thought wasn't as bad as everyone was saying. I can honestly say that I've met black people with that type of personality in a Va Beach go-go bar. Not to mention that I find racism funny in the first place (let me clear that comment up, I mean racism as a whole. Not just geared toward one race. Anyone who can laugh at a show as offensive as Drawn Together can laugh at the Twins).

One of the other WTF moments I had was when Soundwave called a bunch of the Cons to Earth and one of them was the Bonecrusher clone. Uhhhhhhh, he was just seen driving in vehicle mode. We don't even see him transform or ever again for that matter! Why even have that vehicle present in that particular scene? In my mind I'm gonna say thats the original Bonecrusher based on his jungle deco's toy bio and he survived.

Also, I heard about this and it's what makes me the most furious, WHY THE FUCK ISN'T SOUNDWAVE'S VOICE MODULATED!!!?!?!?! The ONE robot whose voice should be heavily modified and they DON'T do it. God damnit. Regardless, Frank can do the Dr. Claw voice even better then in the 80's IMO.

Another one of my complaints is Jetfire/Prime's combination. So Jolt zapped electricity into both of them, and they magically flew together? That just didn't compute with me, but whatev.

Yeah, unless there's something to do with TF biology, I didn't understand how that worked. The first time I saw it I didn't even catch what Ratchet said and didn't realize Jolt was doing anything. I was totally confused :)

Basically, what Jolt did was create an electromagnetic field which thus caused the pieces of Jetfire to become magnetically attracted to Optimus Prime, and thus attach to him. Remember, their biology is nano-machine-based, composed of various elements, particularly metals. Many metals, particularly iron-based alloys, can be magnetized using electromagnets. Charge certain parts with a positive charge, and other parts with a negative charge, and they'll attract one another.
