True. But considering BW's in the G1 continuity, the Covent of Primus forshadows HIS coming and defeat, you could actually make a case for him being *THE* Megatron. Also he was a villian with depth, character, and a successful campaign ending in a victory, none of which the "original" had. Compared to the idiot coward (cartoon) or incompetant and boring (Marvel comics, superceeded by a parade of more interesting baddies), he's more deserving of the name than the original buckethead was anyways. :P

Having got this figure, I can say I am REALLY disappointed with it. Hes good, but Rampage is better...

Voy Megatron is quite awesome, if smaller than I thought he'd be. I wasn't going to buy him, but the Walmart sale convinced me, and I'm glad for it.

 

To address some of his shortcomings, as I do w/ most of my figs, I modded him, starting with the area around his head to let it turn a little more naturally. I removed a gear from his claw/blade arm; it was a neat feature and it worked really well, but it limited the poses he could take. I also trimmed the black bracket that holds his turtle-shell backpack to allow it to fit closer to his body. Lastly, I modded the larger black wingtips to let them fold all the way inward toward the front, so they in essence disappear in robot mode. He looks great with The Fallen, I just wish Meg were more accurately colored. I don't dare try to repaint him myself, I'd ruin him.

To me he looks like he went full frontal into a brick wall after going through the Stargate.. His legs look like they belong to a sumo, his arms are so far back they look like you missed a step, the wing backpack just about redeems him.. Slightly.
