Hearts of Steel Knight Morpher & DIA Commander Kits at Robot Kingdom

Recommended Posts

1/ BOTH of these sets are made by a small team of people or at least by a company MUCH smaller than Hasbro.

2/ Their research and development, distribution, marketing and production costs need to be met.

3/ Fans Project have admitted that they don't make much, if any profit (with the "profits" being plowed back into the funds for their next project).

4/ The Hearts of Steel story was rather good. Even if people don't like the story, the designs were interesting.

5/ The Optimus Prime re-creation of the comic character was fan-made and almost spot-on.

Please stop your ignorant comments, whoever it is. They are NOT over-priced. Think about it. Small businesses such as local restaurants, local bakeries etc always charge "more" for the same product as places such as Wall-Mart for obvious reasons. To say that the products in question are also NOT sold in any way shape of form by Hasbro is also a big point to.

So just stop it, kids. The prices are reasonable. Other websites might be a little bit cheaper or more expensive but the price offered here is reasonable.

Nuff said.

Sorry, but I go by value alone. And will NEVER accept $80.00 for a deluxe size toy with as many features as a deluxe figure. I respect that its a fan made toy and they don't make much, but their unfortunate need to raise the price to cover costs just makes the toy not worth the price, regardless of the justified reasons for raising it.

As a huge railfan, it pains me that I will never own this toy. I hate that Hasbro always turns a cold shoulder to trainformers. I only own Rail Racer, the imported Car Robots figure even. I was able to get one for $60.00, which seemed fair enough to me. But I want more trainformers!

Hasbro needs to make a HoS line. Toys I can actually afford. Even if I HAD $80.00 to blow, I'd feel ripped off in the end because of how small the toy is. I could buy that one small figure...Or roughly 8 Deluxes or 3 voyagers for the same price.

I guess you gotta be a gung ho HoS fan with DEEEEEEEP pockets and a LOT of love for the comics to really want this. But when I'm only making $40-$50 a week on average, I kinda need to save that money for elsewhere. ROTF, Star Wars, and a shitton of my other hobbies.

I just won't tread into the realm of third party toys. Even if they look spectacular. Hasbro will need to make them so I can get one for $10 or $15.

Hasbro is never going to make toys based on Hearts of Steel. Never.

Then I guess I'll never own any. And they're such cool designs too.... :tfsad

Agreed, they aren't over-priced. It just costs small business' more to make them then big companies. Depending on what they are using to make their molds its expensive. I looked into rapid prototyping like one of those 3D printers Jay Leno has but they cost $15k+ upfront and that's not including materials or a scanner. My buddy sculpts and casts resins so I was looking into it. Oh how I wanna make an MP Omega Supreme so bad.

Last year I tried out the small business thing selling TF figures, Star Wars vehicles and Star Wars EE exclusives. My only goal is to sell for the lowest markup possible. I just don't have deep enough pockets to compete with big chain retailers.

Hasbro is never going to make toys based on wants of people over the age of 10. Never.

You are damn right.

Okay, some good news. I e-mailed robotkingdom.com about HOS Optimus Prime. I asked if it would come painted and assembled. I got my answer today.

Hi,

the toy will come painted and fully assembled.

Thanks,

Ray
