If it was mass-produced by Hasbro and assembled by 4-year old kids, maybe.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with the price point on Optimus.

 

If Fansprojects can charge $80 then $90 then $120 for a slightly tweeked add on kit, why can't these guys charge $80 for a brand new figure made from scratch!?!

Because some fans are cheap/can't afford the expensive/rare/exclusive stuff.

and some can't even afford the mass released.

 

It's like anything, theres "everyday" and then there are the "gems" not a single one of us can have it all, but that doesn't mean you can't work and save for what you want.

 

Fansproject G1 trailer is pretty much a box with a tower and spring launched drone, this is a complete brand new figure selling for cheaper. The price seems fair. If you want it, it's not due out till October, plenty of time to put some pennies away.

 

The argument of price I can see being aplied to a third run item being jacked up $40 because of launchers, but HoS Prime is a brand new complete figure. It's fair.
