Hearts of Steel Knight Morpher & DIA Commander Kits at Robot Kingdom

It would sell for $150 that I would still get it. When it comes to something as desirable as HOS Prime in toy form (at last), price is no object. I came very close of buying the $300 version.

Me too. I'm still debating the CyberFemBot just to get Arcee out of my system...

When it comes to custom kits though, some people do go overboard, but in recent comparison, this is spot on.

I will be preordering at least 2 next week.

I make $40-$50 a week and also collect ROTF toys. No...$80.00 is NOT fair

If Fansprojects can charge $80 then $90 then $120 for a slightly tweeked add on kit, why can't these guys charge $80 for a brand new figure made from scratch!?!

That's bullshit too. That sounds like a $15.00 item there if you mean a few tiny accessories. Where are they getting $120.00 from?

You don't get what you paid for. You get a toy thats just as good as a voyager. Probably the same size too. Yet you're paying a beyond-supreme class price for it. Therefore it should be the same value as a supreme class figure and then some

no...it's just a fan made voyager. NOTHING makes it worth $80!

Not for me, it's kind of a obscure reference, and the price point doesn't help either. Maybe if it was 50% off...

Hey I make alot more then that but still had to save for alot of figures. As for the ones still out of my grasp, well I just gotta work harder and save more...

Thats life, unless your a republican or soccor mom, no amount of angst will change that

I agree that the mark up on the Commander upgrades are rediculious. Still this is from a company with no corporate backing, they have a right to recoupe their costs.

Seeming as the figure sold on CyberFemBot.com for $300 I think $80 in hopes of more sales is much more then fair.

The act that you can't just go into a TRU or Walmart to get this fan made item makes it worth much more then $80 to me. If anyone is unhappy that they can't afford it, either work harder or save more, there's plenty of time to get your orders in.

And nothing should make a $20 voyager with some paint slapped on it worth $500, but frenzy_rumble, sabsabby and so on get top dollar for a repainted figure on eBay. While in your point of view, this is not worth $80 but to many/most others, it is.

Besides, a lot of time and money went into designing this. And unless you can have a run of tens of thousands, it costs a whole lot to mass produce a toy out of something that ain't cheap, crappy resin. While I agree, this is a a little bigger than Deluxe sized toy (6.5" tall) and would be worth $20-30 from Hasbro - there's more to it from a logistics standpoint. $80 is more than fair.

This^^

Oh, and the cyberfembot one is 10" tall versus this smaller one that's 6.5". The $300 one is almost Leader sized, I believe. Griffith76 shrunk it down in order to get it cheaper to make. I'm waiting for mine to come from Hal and heck, I'm toying with the idea of buying this one too. =)

here's some ideas:

HoS Devastator:

A spade, a rake, a broomstick, and a wheelbarrow!

HoS Hot Rod:

Bycicle

HoS Jetfire's father:

THE FIRST WHEEL!! TRANSFORMS INTO NOTHING AND DOES SO WITH HONOR!

That has got to be the funniest shit I've ever damn read... there is truth in jest though... an old train?! No offense to those with passion for it, but pretty fuckin lame.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with the price point on Optimus.

AGREE.

Here is my 2 cents:

#1) This is a brand new toy designed by the fans who inspired by the comic "The Heart of Steel" (for those who commented HOS Prime as an old train, I bet you've never read the comics and recommend you to read them).

I cannot imagine how long would take them to complete the design.

#2) This is not a mass production and they cannot sell it at the retail stores, meaning that the number of the figure they produce is far far less then what Hasbro will produce.

On the other hand, they paid more for the factory to produce them.

So these toys simply just cost more then the name brand ones.

#3) For us who love the HOS, this is the ONLY chance to own the figure

#4) For those who don't care about this figure, please simply just ignore it instead of using the F words here to show your idiocy.

This one looks to be a complete redesign of the one they were selling on Cyberfembot. It appears smaller and retooled.

I agree...the$80 for this figure isn't that big a deal.
