Are bit chargers Mattel?  They have farraris.

I'm not an expert on Bit Char-Gs but I don't think any of the "official" releases are Ferraris. There are probably similar small RC cars that look like Ferraris but are unlicensed. Considering that most of these seem to come from random Chinese companies is probably why they get away with it - they likely don't claim to be Ferraris on the packaging (even though they obviously are) or use the prancing horse logo. Takara and Hasbro are too big and need to secure licenses, especially for Alts as these clearly state what type of car they are.

Honda makes F1 cars, so there isn't any reason Mirage couldn't be a Formula 1 car. But if they don't want to go that route, Mirage should be the Ford GT-40. It comes in blue with white racing stripes or white with blue racing Stripes and is much larger than an F1 car would be, which would more than likely make it better in scale for robot mode.

I don't think the Prowler is a great car, just that it matched G1 Mirage in form. I didn't realize the Alternators line was about 1:24 scale cars, I thought it was about street cars. F1 car would be cool, if street legal doesn't matter. In any case, I really liked the Enzo for Mirage after somebody mentioned that.

Like a lot of other transfans, Mirage was one of my G1 faves. I would love for them to make an Alternator version of him, but I kept thinking that an Formula 1 car would be kind of a stupid mold because it would never be on the street. Then it hit me. Mirage as a Plymouth Prowler! Similar shape and size as an F1 car, and it's an actual street car. What do you folks think? I'm not too great with PS. Anybody want to try a PS Prowler Mirage?

Sorry dude, but all I think of when I hear Mirage being a Prowler is YUK! Mirage should be nothing other than an F1 car....to be more exact, he should be The Williams BMW FW26 F1 Car….end of story!!!

Would love to see this one in action myself. I wouldn't even be adversed to a MIRAGE color change to total black and white in place of blue and white. The McLaren would be fantastic. :tftongue

I can't see this as MIRAGE but with a head remold and a gigantic protruding engine (give it a little 50's dragster flava), I could see this as BIG DADDY. Give a Micro the BINALTECH/ALTENATOR treatment. :tftongue
