I really doubt Fortess Maximus is a functioning 'bot in this continuity. From the way Fort Max and Metroplex were portrayed in "this is why I hate Machines" they just seemed to be buildings/battle stations.

 

So was Omega, right? Fort could also be in modified stasis or maybe Sent didn't think it was necessary to have him be in robot mode, or maybe he didn't know Fort had a robot mode.

 

Yeah, but right from the get-go Optimus tried to activate Omega, though Teletran wouldn't allow it.

Why would Fort Max be in a modified stasis anyway? Omega was only put in stasis because of the heavy damage he sustained during the war.

 

If fort max, a robot as powerful, if not more powerful than omega existed than the events of the war would have played out differently. Omega's creation was a secret, but his existence wasn't, he was considered a hero, and as of "This is why I hate Machines" The Autobots greatest weapon.

 

Furthermore, in the Safegaurd comic, they make it seem like this is the first secret weapon they'd developed since Omega.

 

I just don't think that having Fort Max transform is the direction they're taking this.

The keyword here is "secret". So you could say that one thing is the first secret, but also keep a secret that it really isn't.

 

So what people think is only a base, is really the first and most ultimate secret weapon aka back up plan. The only bots I can think of that would know about Fort's robot mode would probably be Magnus, Perceptor, and Alpha Trion. Maybe Fortress Maximus needs to be controlled, maybe Magnus will control him, like how Lugnut is controlling the 3 Supremes.

Whatever happened to Starscream not being able to be destroyed? Megatron blasted hm like 5 times in that one episode (prior to the clones) and he just kept waking up fine as a can of peaches because of his allspark fragment...

Starscream can be destroyed. But if he goes offline, he comes back online after a few hours it seems. In those instances, Starscream's body went unsevered. In Endgame it looks like his entire bottom half has been ripped off by the blast. The Allspark fragment will keep him from dying, but it wont get him new legs :P
