So, just to make sure, this mod only involves removing screws, not shaving or cutting any plastic?

Yes that's correct. on the inside of the torso there are two screws that hold the dash assembly on to the center console. All your doing is taking out one of the screws (leave it out) and TADA!

I did it on my Ravage. Looks a lot better IMO. Its easy, just follow the directions.

Edit edit: Oh bother. I've got my Swerve down into spare parts and the damn thing won't rotate.  Definitely feels like there's some glue down there somewhere. *reassembles* :tfmad

Hey this looks like a great mod. I have all the Vetts even both the Tracks (yellow bt and the blue alt) I'm going to use it on all mt bots but i will leave Battle Ravage the way he is......good distinction. but For my tracks I had to do some detailing to the head, it looks way too clean and boring out of the box !!!

The swiveling piece started to feel loose on my Alt. Tracks after doing this very good mod. I popped out the pin that holds the windshield in place to expose the screw that everything rotates around and tossed a 3x3mm spring underneath of it, so now the piece holds in place more firmly. (That Alt. Tracks is now Mirage, but will be in a different thread.)

having tried the mod today, I'm pretty impressed by it. Having said that. I feel like there should be a little disclaimer. If you are one of those collectors that transforms their toy once and have it on display, then this mod is perfect for you. It improves the silhouette of the toy, and give him a bit more possibility. However, if you are like me, who transforms their toys constantly, then this mod may not work for you. I find that the wear and tears associated with the mod, and the transformation processes afterwards can't handle the constant transformation of back and forth, and puts a lot of stress on the toy. but, that's just my experience with it. it could be different with other people's experience. a great and ingenious mod though.

I've tranformed it several times since the mod and it still feels fine to me.

do you have the alt or BT version? I have the BT version, and his paint job took a beating.

Ah. I understand. I do have the Alt version. As I understood it thought the paint would take a beating on BT Tracks no matter what ;)
