Alternators' Build Quality

Recommended Posts

My hood won't stay closed on my Dead End no matter how tight I transform it but it still rolls.

I have the same problem. And it's the only problem I've ever had with all 5 of my Alts.

No problems with any of my alternators, and I don't care to own any BT. I find diecast to be one of the most over rated aspects of this hobby.

Don't knock it, until you've tried it.

I have a comment.

Why don't we stop bringing up this debate every other day? It's old and never leads to anywhere.

Why don't you stop being a confrontational jerk every single day? It's old, and never leads to anywhere.

Seriously. Try -not- responding negatively to every person you see, just for a day.

Nobody "brought up" anything. The guy commented that he has problems with his Alts, but not his BTs, and asked if the rest of us have had the same problems.

As I've been told several times in the past, this is a public forum. It's purpose is to provide a place for conversation and debate. Get over it.

And at least we're contributing something to the discussion. What, exactly, did your comment contribute? Nothing? Yeah, that's what I thought, too.

I recommend you change your attitude.

Alternator Sideswipe was the first ever alternator that i bought, and it doesn't have any of the problems you mentioned, optimustarzan

I recommend you actually read his post before telling him he has an attitude problem.

And, to stay somewhat on topic, I haven't had that problem with any of the Alts I've bought so far. They've all been first rate. :thumb

Why don't you just stop reading threads about this topic? It's a free board, we can talk about any topic we want.

I have a BT Hound that I got SO paranoid about that I refuse to remove him from his box and so he sits... mummified in bubble wrap and newspaper in his carboard tomb that lies buried in the valleys of my closet.

The box is heavy. That's about the only contrast I can give with my own stuff. Alt Hound kicks arse tho.

My Alternator Sideswipes (all three of 'em) don't have any of the problems yours seem to. Hell, even after I hacked at one of them like a gurgling serial killer with a heated Xacto knife he still transforms fine and everything with his chest/trunk and reversed hands. ^_^ Thanks for the tip DLP!

You may think that dropping $50 for EVERY single one of these things is a fantastic idea, but I simply refuse to part with the kind of money for something I'm not going to take out of the box. EVER. With Alternators, I can afford to buy two and still appeciated every facet of the figure proper. Besides that, our master kitbashcraftsmiths wouldn't be able to churn out such... just incredible stuff if they were dropping THAT much cash on these super expensive, super chipping marvels.

I can't argue that BT are awesome figures, but I still feel that for me Alternators are the way to go. I still have to FIND Dead End to buy him, but believe you me that I'll stick with alternators as long as they keep making 'em! ^_^
