Theres been a good handful of TF animated shows since the 80s, and a handful of voice actors who have played the main characters in Prime, Megs and Starscream.

Who do u guys think hav represented each of the characters the best? or who simply sounds the best?

Listen to the sound clips here and compare for urself.

My faves r

Prime - Cullen

Megatron - Kaye

Starscream - Latta

Jazz - Scatman Crothers

Prowl - Jeff Bennett

Ultra Magnus - Robert Stack

Rodimus Prime - Judd Nelson

Speaking of TFA, while I knew that Spongebob does Starscream's voice, I started to notice Bulkhead sounds an awful lot like Patrick Starfish. Is it the same actor or just coinkydink?

Edit: Confirmed it is the same actor. Ahhh! Too many Spongebob actors in my TFA! Well actually I confess to liking Spongebob :P

G1, G1 , and G1! I loved the voice actors from G1.

As for my favorites, it's also all g1 except for Megatron. For him, I like all 3 major versions equally because they are so distinctly different (Welker, Kaye, Burton).

coinkydink it is not!! we do indeed hav Spongebob and Patrick in TFA. a little scary me thinks :P

The same thing only if they do the best Soundwave and Grimlock Voice Actors.

I gotta say Chalk an Kaye, but that in no way deminishes Cullens and Welker. I like the AEC Starscream best

Basically, I mostly went with tradition:

Optimus Prime-Peter Cullen

Starscream--Chris Latta

Megatron--Corey Burton

Peter Cullen is Optimus Prime. I like the job that David Kaye is doing, but come, come now.

I like the job that Tom Kenny is doing with his Screamer(s), but he's channelling Latta, who should--just like Prime/Cullen--always be associated with that character (among many others).

The last one was a tough one to call. I love Welker's Megatron. I grew up with it. But Corey Burton's handling of the character is a fucking revelation. I cannot imagine Megatron not sounding the way he sounds in Animated.

Jazz - I pick Scatman Crothers over Phil LaMarr (only just)

Prowl - Jeff Bennett

Ultra Magnus - Robert Stack

Rodimus Prime - Judd Nelson from TFA

As a member of the staff here at TFans I feel compelled to warn you that further use of the offensive and controversial word "Coinkydink" will not be tolerated.

And yeah that first list is pretty much spot on, no shockers there.
