Walmart TF Prices

Just wondering, did any of ya'lls Wal-Marts go up on the Voyagers and Ultras?

I ran by one today, and the Voyagers were $21 and change, and the Ultras were $26 and change. Just wondered if that was the local Wal-Mart being stupid or the entire company. :tflaugh

I have a feeling it'll drop around June to lure us away from TRU, but yeah, it's a alot.

7.77 was beautiful while it lasted.

Yes it was... i am not a fan of the animated line.. but I do give ethem as gifts for some of my son's younger friends.. Birthdays and such. I bought about 6 of them at that price, and stuck up in the closet to give away as BD gifts over the next year. :D

I bought a ton of Animated stuff that I would have passed on myself, not to mention the Prowl repaints.

Still, the best had to be when I found a Walmart that had Voyagers listed at $10 for like a month!

I bought nearly a whole center isle display, kept one open and one closed for me. I set up an Incinerator attack squad led by Blackout, and overflowed several Toys For Tots boxes. Yeah I could have sold them, but I think I did the better thing.

note- day after Christmas I was run over by a dumptruck, had to have several reconstructive surgeries because of it, with more to go, and was told if I don't go back to work next week, I'm fired. Gotta love them good deeds :suicide

Here in Frisco, TX, the Wal-Mart has went up on everything. Oddly enough, Target is about the same but was normally about 3-5% higher than W-M. The deluxe's are 12.99 at W-M but are 11.99 at Target, go figger.

Wow Liege I hope you can make it back to work next week, and I hope you feel better soon too.

$13 as a gift to a neice or nephew is still pretty cheap

as a collector it really slows my poke' syndrome. it makes me much more picky as to which one's i'll buy

Thanks, but from the looks of things I'm hoping these price increases means Walmart can hire more people(gotta pay the rent)

I will go check the prices on the other products sometime it the next couple of days. One thing I do know is the shelves are packed with product. At least 7 or more of each toy. Animated WreakGar is the only one that is hard to find. But I did find Roadbuster Magnus and WreakGar at Target. Now Target is the low price leader on most items.

Well that's ... comical. But yeah $13 for a deluxe is overboard.

Deluxes cost $10 when the size class was introduced with Beast Wars in 1996. According to this inflation calculator, $10 in 1996 dollars is $13.09 in 2007 dollars (2007 is the most recent year the page would calculate for.) I don't see what the big deal is about this.

The big deal is wages haven't gone up that much, people are losing their jobs, the economy's in a recession, etc. Hasbro couldn't have picked a worse time to jack up their MSRP and (while I understand that we're all collectors here and need to justify our purchases) people need to stop making excuses for corporate greed and start standing up against it. Prices will go down if sales don't go up.

They've cancelled TFA anyway, so it's not like there's any real incentive to keep paying retail for them.

I know they canceled the pointless gold repaint of Grimlock, and the Hydro Bumblebee but when did they say all of Animated was canceled? My daughter wants that Arcee.

There's a topic about it under the News section. Here's the link. http://forums.TFormers.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=106550

Take it with a grain of salt. This may very well be a false rumor. I think it's fake.
