First Look at Revenge of the Fallen Leader Class Megatron

Recommended Posts

Figure looks ok I guess. It's going to be a love or hate thing with everyone though, and no in between.

I think he looks o and will buy him if he shows up in Spain. Otherwise I don't think i'd want to pay to have him shipped over unless I get a good deal.

I seen someone mentioning that the premium TF1 Megs has a better paintjob than the first version, Is it anything like the premium Bestbuy Voyager Meg's paintjob??? I can't tell properly from pics

I think this Bio for Megatron and the fact that Megatron does return confirms my suspicions that the Fallen is infact Megatron...

You're kidding, right? What about the clearly different toys for "The Fallen"?

Anyway...so I guess the presumption is that the tank parts are from Brawl/Devastator-In-Name-Only, and the puny arm looks like it belongs to Bonecrusher...

I agree with davidthecharmruffin. I believe Megatron is The Fallen in the Title of the film, where as the actual toy/character named The Fallen really is Jetfire. the back of his FAB card confirms him as an old/ancient Transformer who sides with the Autobots after falling against the Decepticons ideals: http://www.tf08.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=244

That FAB Jetfire's faceplate looks like it took a few cues from this pic of The Fallen

I think the character of The Fallen will be the main focus of the film, until Megatron Rises from the depths. He will probably be too powerful and the Fallen will side with Prime and the rest of the Autobots and be reborn/rechristened Jetfire in order to stop Megatron and the Decepticons. I think Jetfire will be "Return of the Jedi Darth Vader" and put a stop to the Decepticon mess he helped create. Besides, an Autobot named "The Fallen" wouldn't work. He would have to change his name, to something which sounds less evil. Jetfire is perfect as it harks back to his "Engulfed in Flames" reputation as the Fallen. Just my own 2 cents but I think the "Revenge of the Fallen" title has more than ONE meaning.

:tfhuh Explain how "hiding for years" translates to "old/ancient Transformer"...

And for god's sake, why on earth would The Fallen side with the Autobots? I mean seriously, you do realize how much fan-wank was actually in the first movie, right? So making Jetfire a 'Con first is so G1 it's not even funny, even the whole "after realizing the error of his ways..." part of his bio is G1, Jetfire was best friends with Screamer and a 'Con. Eventually he realized that the Decepticons really were evil so he joined the Autobots. And Jetfire harks back to The Fallen's flamyness? Well that could work with some other characters, like Inferno, or to be somewhat vague like you were being with that reference, Red Alert, because he fights fire.

Do yourself and all of us a favor and READ THE BACK OF THE FAB JETFIRE CARD which clearly says "Jetfire is ready to rejoin the fight! He realized the error of the DECEPTICON way a long time ago. Now, he fights alongside the AUTOBOTS, hoping to use his ancient strength to bring his former comrades to justice!"

Leader Megatron looks absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be picking him up. I really wish I could see the head for the complete effect!

Back on topic, I think I still prefer the original Leader Megatron from part 1. The bot mode looks so much better in my opinion. This Megatron's arms just look awkward. I know the first Megatron had the pods on its arms, but at least it had a consistent look. This one just looks like Autobot Spike ( i know thats what they are going with by using the "built from scraps" angle) and to me thats not a good thing. Hopefully it looks better n the movie. I just wish Megatron would choose an EARTH alt mode just to mesh with the rest of the characters/toyline.

how did we go from the leader megatron toy to discussing if jetfire is the fallen?

Here's the thing though. The movie design of The Fallen is nothing like Jetfire's. Nor is he anything like Megatron. The Fallen is the ultimate evil in this movie. It's already been confirmed that The Fallen of the movie is The Fallen of TF lore, one of the Original Thirteen, the betrayer, the one who caused the split between Autobot and Decepticon.

This is The Fallen:

This is Jetfire:

This is Megatron:

All three are very different designs, and very different characters.

Jetfire looks shit. I hope his larger version will look better
