Ani. Grimlock

Recommended Posts

Who here is having a blast with their Animated Grimlock? I didn't like him very well at first because he didn't have lateral bicep and thigh swivels. Then I started messing with his poseability and I found some of the most kickass poses EVER. He can hold almost any one footed stance you can think of if you fiddle around with him enough.

Hint: He has the tail kibble on his legs: Use it to easily balance him on one foot. You might need to tighten the joints for good measure.

I was actualy fiddling with him the other day.

He isn't perfect, but he realy isn't bad.

He could use more articulation in the arms, and I'd love it if the robot jaw was hinged. The hole in the alts belly is a turn off as well as lack ofweapon storage, but those are my only gripes.

He's a great size and basicly a simplified G1 concerning the transformation.

In the world of recent Grimlocks, he is a frontrunner for best rehash, lets see what MP in hand has to say about that though...

I hope MP has hinged feet like Uni. Hound.

Prefer the classics version myself. Ani does have a sweet botmode though... Still I think it will be

Don't forget Energon, that's somewhere in there.

I like Ani Grimlock a lot more then I thought I would. Right now he's posed with his sword slung over his shoulder, but I was pleasantly surprised as to how many poses he can pull off. I do wish there was some way to secure the front of the dino mode better.

Energon Grimmy was so far down, he's about three feet below your monitor, Slayer.

And Freefall, what the HECK is that in your sig, besides proving the Jappanese come up with some whacked out things?

Classics Grimmy: Good alt mode, good torso and head sculpt in robot mode. Bad articulation.

Animated Grimmy: Good alt mode, good robot mode and awkward, but still awesome articulation.

I don't like Animated Grimlock's dino mode... the exposed robot head is awful and on a f***ing $45 Voyager it's inexcusable. (-_-)

It does pose well in robot mode, I'll agree with that. :) Overall I prefer Classics Grimlock though - his articulation is decent enough and he looks good in both modes - and for $25 offers much better value for my dollar.

CL. Grimmy's just aggravating for me. I ended up taking a hacksaw to his "CALVES OF KIBBLE AND FURY!"* It improved him somewhat. At least his tail no longer runs into the back of his legs all the time.

*Why was there an echo when I said that?

what about alternators grimlock?
