Japanese online toy retailer AmiAmi have posted some fresh new stock images of the Masterpiece MP-08 Grimlock action figure. The news images feature the figure in Robot and his alternate T-Rex mode with some of the best looks at figure details in this mode. Look for Gimlock to be released March 2009 in Japan for about 14,000 JPY. Read the Full News Story Here

I should be drooling like crazy over this guy but all I can think is that he looks like a more articulated version of the G1 toy. I understand that this is the point and all, but he's just so meh.

I complained about how many liberties were taken with Screamer's design, but looking at this guy, I'm thankful for them now.

Yep, that's one big hunkin' Grimlock! On a side note...it's funny how we still thought T-Rex dragged his tail in the '80's! :tfevil

And still we don't have a picture of this toy side by side with another Masterpiece Transformer.

Better and better each time I see him!!!

Still wondering what the gun looks like though, that was confirmed as part of the figure set right?

I wonder if its possible to pose him in dinomode in a more "scientifically/biologically correct", "Jurassic Park" pose?

I will probably sell my Henkei Grimlock and replace him with this version as he seems to be is scale with Henkei figs (ie: just that right amount larger).

He looks fantastic.

I wonder if its possible to pose him in dinomode in a more "scientifically/biologically correct", "Jurassic Park" pose?

Tilt him forward 45 degrees.

looks very nice i must say

Best looking toy iv'e seen in years.

A little disappointed about the scale, but as long as there is plenty of diecast I think were looking at the best masterpiece since MP01.

:tfevil
