I have to say I'm very happy with them I wish ravage had 2 eyes but hey its the movie style so i'm happy and if that's the final design for megs I will be a very happy boy... I just hope the toy lives up to the design

 

it's the movie style to have one eye? maybe if ravage is just going to be a drone in the game. but that one eye looks terrible. the body looks great.

 

megatron has a crab claw.. not cool. and not cool that he's already coming back, there better be some good story telling to pull this off.

 

what I mean by movie style is that they pay homage to the original concept but they stick to their guns when they told us they wanted a more alien look I think if they did just give it two eyes it would be too earth like much like how scorpinok had many scorpion elements but at the same time was very alien

 

as for the few comments about megatron I've seen, well its not perfect but I think after the first design I think most people have lowered their expectations so this new design comes as a surprise

so megs will be like this guy: :tfwtf ?

i meant megs will be like: frankenstein's monster (made up of several different robots) NOT megs is: what teh funk

I didn't mind TF1 Megatron, actualy Fury fit right in with my collection(I renamed him).

 

This however is a very nice and welcome design for Megatron

 

Ravage looks like a TF Xenomorph, and I'm not complaining. I just hope they don't screw up like they did with Scorponok releasing alot of cool designs, then one of the most craptastic toys ever.

 

Ravage is fairly interesting! As for Megs...still on the fence & trying to understand this asymmetrical arm-thingy going on...? And I'm with one of the other posts...scan an earth mode already, dude!

It could be his way of staying true to his self, making a personal stament that he won't hide from the human germs.

 

Pure speculation, also, I like the idea of him harvesting parts from the other bots.

 

So, I'm reading the other board threads about these designs, and I gotta say we have a lot less angst over here on TFormers. All their threads read like it was two years ago again, while this one has stayed nice and civil, even with dissenting opinions.

 

I like this place. Just enough angst to stay interesting, but without the insane cries of "Bay is teh devil" and "ruined forever".

One of the reasons why I jumped ship from Seibertron! The angst here tends to be way more civil, which is probably why fewer childhoods are raped here then there.

 

(I will never foget the first time I read that, and thought how inapropriate that statement was when there are actual real issues in the world)

I think Megs looks quite a bit better than he did in the first movie. Not really digging the ET fingers on his left hand, but overall he's a lot less spiky which is a good thing. Also I think face may have changed subtly to be more traditional looking, although it's blurry, so I can't be sure.

 

Ravage looks great. His head is terrifying, but then again his name is Ravage, so giving him a cute kitty head would be kind of silly.

Well, here's what I see: Megs has a cannon arm on one side, and more armor plating. he still has much of his first film aesthetic but, they added a more G-1 style head. I still don't care that he doesn't have an earth disguise simply because I can't imagine him really caring to hide amongst what he considers to be vermin...even if said vermin can hurt him.

 

as for Ravage...I really couldn't care less honestly. As long as he isn't randomly a bird like creature and still resembles a cat like creature i'm pretty good with it.

 

My ONLY hope is for better toys this time around. I would really LIKE to add a Megatron to my movie collection that doesn't suck.

Very nice design esthetic for both. I really dig the new shaped (from the looks) helmet on Megs, as well as his legs & chest. All look good. But hmmm :schin I wonder if this so called "megatron" is really the fallen just taking the form of Megatron by using his general war body along with others like Brawl and Jazz. Although i DID see confirmation of the double eyes on the SUperion box being the Falllen's and i dont see double eyes on Megs. But that could be the angle or on purpose /photoshopped out.

Both designs are absolutely fantastic. The Megatron design, in particular, really stands out to me. They went out of their way to give him a fusion cannon and a more G1-inspired head, while still maintaining the updated, alien look from the first film. Well done, Revenge of the Fallen character designers.

i've always wondered y Bay wanted megs hands so skinny n weird lookin. i was hopin he wud change it this time around, but the new megs does look waaay better....as 4 ravage, like the rest of u. i hate his 1 eye, but when the movie comes out, i'll prolly like him. lol

Megatron...with a more G1 look? In Michael Bhey film? Goodness gracious.
