I really, really, hope this is his protoform or that he acquires an earth mode in the movie. Bot mode looks great and all, but his alt mode looks like crap (assuming that is the official transformation).

 

I mean I wasn't a fan of Megatron's alt mode (or his robot mode, for that matter) in the first movie, but at least it looked like some sort of alien craft. This looks like the bastard child of Energon Shockblast.

If this is his Cybertronian mode then he might be like that throughout the movie just like Megatron was in the first movie. But it would be nice to see an Earth mode Soundwave. I am sure they're going to change it.

Meh.. I see where they're going with this.. and I do think, a satelite is one of the most creative ways to work in the soundwave character. Think of how much information that guy has up there just listening in? It's prefect. I'm not looking foward to him being a Dodge Nemesis Prime truck.. (still think a news van or a dish truck or something would be much more fitting.. just lacks the epic image of bad ass or something) but I guess we'll see where the movie takes it.

 

Honestly, in Soundwave (and megatron) farg even Reflector's defense. Anything is better than what G1 made them out to be.. and I seriously mean that. (anything is better than what Japan made them out to be as well..) ... thats my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Soo is that just a cybertronian "satellite" and he's going to have an earth mode or is that just some sophistimacated new fangled satellite.

 

I'd be all over this guy if it weren't for the arm connections. They just really bother me. I'm just going to wait for final production reviews before buying. If it does turn out to be sturdy I'll all over it, because I lurvs that head. :luv

If his Earth mode is a pickup truck... that would be kinda painful.

 

Dealing with Dropkick and Ironhide both being pickup trucks of wildly different sizes was bad enough for me. Working in a LEADER pickup truck would probably give me a headache.

 

Also, it would be the first leader I buy, and I don't want to buy a Leader. I'm hoping an expecting a Voyager.

What an ugly p.o.s. from another movie toyline that will sit on the shelves until it's reduced to clear.
