Slavish G1 decos CAN work... but oftentimes the deco, you know, designed specifically for the mold works better than forcing an old deco meant for a completely different mold onto a new toy.

G1 decos are hit or miss really, sometimes with the same deco on the same figure.

Like Henkei! Starscream and Universe 25th. Ann. Starscream. I thought the TT version was boring (and the random chrome hurt a lot), but I REALLY like Hasbro's take on the G1 SS look.

I think Hasbro's use of white instead of grey did it. It allows the blue, red, and silver to really "pop" while TT's grey just kind of blends in with everything.

I like the chrome in the end it all comes down to what each person prefers anyway. One reason why I buy both is so I can showcase them together

I like chrome when done right. I think it's done right on Henkei! Sunstreaker.

I think it's done wrong on Henkei! Starscream. The Henkei! Seekers really embody the extent of randomness in TT's Henkei! chroming. There is no reason for that little bit of the null-rays to be chromed.

At least all three match design wise :shrug

Henkei Octane aka Classics Tankor doesn't need the chroming job I admit that. I do prefer the Henkei Convoy over the Classics Prime because he doesn't have the idiotic blue shoulder joints

Henkei! Tankor with a chromed claw would have ruled. The chromed guns though, eh....

Exactly the Claw would have been awesome chromed, The guns were a waste
