Hasbro is really starting to impress me with the new and innovative TF schemes. While some are more ambitious than others, they work very well while still retaining their G1 aesthetics and basic forms. Small details like adding extra joints for increased articulation and the ability to have the figs stand flat footed make all the difference in the world and are very welcome additions. Now, if they could only tighten up the QC on loose joints and sloppy paint...

I love em both, especially Ravage! I'll do my own touch ups on the paint jobs though. By the way, after 6 months, IM BACK! Anyone even remember me??

with 2 posts before this, how could one forget!?!

Cyclonus is a definite buy, and Hound looks nice as well. But honestly, I'm still a little on the fence with Ravage...the body looks really cool, but the bird-beak head & the almost nonexistent tail really tarnish what would otherwise be a perfectly suitable update to this classic figure. Those two parts just feel really out of proportion to the rest of the body...maybe I'm just being overly critical b/c I'm a HUGE Ravage fan!

I kinda agree on your opinion of Ravage, and it may turn out to be right. I just have a feeling that it's one of the few figures that need to be seen for a real judgement. I only say this because I've seen some really good angles and some really bad ones. The few good angles I've seen make me think "wow, this is worth the deluxe price, especially if it fits in G1 Soundwave and the hip rockets fit. Oh, and he comes with that extra figure Hound!" The many many other bad angles make me think "should I puke or feel bad for this poor creature? I mean it looks like a buzzard with anorexia and scoliosis." It's still a purchase cause I'm a whore for neato plastic figures, but I'm still crossing my fingers in hopes of not wanting to hate the best cassetticon ever.

well, just look at it this way... even with it's flaws, this new Ravage is miles beyond the original Ravage.

FLAWS?! This new Ravage is definitely FLAWLESS!! :awsum

The beak-like mouth might be a lil' weird if judged from pics surfacing on the internet, but heh, we all need to see it up close & personally on retail later.

Keep fingers crossed. ;) :win

I dunno... Original Ravageis pretty sweet, and can do a great sit up a beg pose.

Also, who the hell is Unicron9?
