The original Transformers relied in real modes and transformation at first, but all that changed eventually. G1 choked us to death with gimmicks and that trend continues today. So in your opinion which is the best gimmick ever used in transformers and which the worst? Just dont think in g1 alone. Practically all generations had their fair share of gimmicks.

Well, let's see how do you prefer your transformers. With gimmicks or without them? Also explain your point.

i pondered if there were any girls collecting tfs out there i only know of one but i know very little info on her but i was wonder if anyone knows of any or is it mostly a guy thing

So my lady asked me what I wanted for my birthday coming up, so I of course said MasterPiece Convoy. Should I open it or buy a 20th Aniversary Prime to play with and keep the other mint. What do I do? :tfhuh I really can't wait for it to arive!

last night I came home and wondered why my vacum cleaner smelled like burnt plastic... well it was megatrons barrel from my 20th anniversary Prime... must have gotten under the bed or something.. but damn there goes my Megatron - I really didnt care about the stupid vacum....my girlfriend said she didnt notice.. but wondered what the smell was... great...thanks babe anyone got an stories of the autobots loosing a battle against your loved ones..

I had a few girls over for voice recording purposes for my demo reel (for those that don't know I'm an animation student) and being my room is kind of small, my collection was pretty much out in the open. It was kind of interesting, at least for me, because no girl has really ever seen that side of me.. I mean they were a little surprized, but for the most part they actually seemed to like it.. particulary the Alternators. :tfgrin .. I suppose I can sort of get away with it because I got that 'geeky animator' thing. It's almost expected.. Okay guys---I need some support. I've come to the decision making phase on whether or not to toss or deconstruct my Animated boxes for storage. Those of you who cut all the tape and flatten the boxes to store them, do you ever use them after that point? I need space, but I hate to throw them out! Help! PS---I know I'm going to get laughed at by the take em out and toss em crowd. Let it rip.

I remember one of the things that probably started my loss of interest in Transformers, which kept me out of the loop until the movies and Animated came out (don't worry, I'm catching up on the older series too). The Combaticons had just made their first appearance in the G1 cartoon, and I was pretty excited over them. Even forgiving the WTF logic that allowed a space shuttle to come from WWII parts and whatnot. But there was something that really started to bug me, and it kept up the further I continued with the cartoon and reading the comics... They were losing their faces. Or more like, their faces were becoming expressionless visors with mouthplates. So…

This may sound strange coming from me but I have to give Hasbro their due and heres why. I have their Alternators SilverStreak and Hound. Silversteak looks very impressive to me because he has that silver metallic look to him and it makes him look like the Binaltech Silverstreak. He transformes very easy with no problems. Hound is also very impressive to me with no problems at transformation. I once said that the only thing I would ever collect when it came to my beloved TF would be Takara releases. Well in this case I was wrong and for 25 bucks all total for these two guys I couldnt pass them by. NOW I did see Smokescreen and he didnt have the metal flake blue look to hi…
