  1. Started by BaCon,

The guys at Super7 had a good time and said we could do it again. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the event and if makes sense to do it again. Would more notice and doing it on Sunday help those of you who could not make it this time?

  2. Started by BaCon,

Picked up a couple things recently: TRU Colma has all the new Go-Bots with the clear plastic. They also have resupplied with Energon boxed items. There were quite a few Landmine's and a Jetfire or two. Also saw about 5 G1 Skids reissues and a couple of Dige and Skywarp. All I saw new at the two Targets was more Omega Supremes.

I've been noticing a number of people here on TFans are from the San Francisco Bay Area. Since I am and I partially run this site, I thought that it would be cool to set up a spot where locals could talk about toys, local shopping and ultimately work on setting up some regular swap meets where people can hook up to talk, buy, sell and trade Transformers stuff. I am already working on setting up a swap meet in San Francisco. I would love to hear from all of you out there who can attend and/or help with promoting it. This would be an event open to everyone and with no charge. Super7 Magazine has graciously offered the use of their store in Japantown for such an event.…

For me its mostly online, but I do hit these places from time to time: Japantown Model Shop Super7 Yes Anime The shop in the J-Town mall Jeffery's Toys Cards & Comics TRU - Geary TRU - Colma Toy Shop - Taraval None of these is all that stocked. Sure would be nice to have something really focused on TF stuff.

  10. Started by echophonic,

I got sick of driving down to Colma and doing the whole Target 1 -> TRU -> Target 2 thing to find new alts and not finding anything, so this time I asked to speak to whever did the buying in TRU. The lady at the counter said that coporate does all the buying/distribution and that no one there had any say. She went to check the computer to see what would be coming in the next month or so and she said that it didn't look like they were getting any Alts for a while and that there weren't any listings coming up for future boxes. :tdown LAME. She was super nice though, and when she asked me what toy I was inquiring about, when I said Alternators she smiled and …
