Upgrades

I'm a hardcore TF nut since i was about 4. my first one was a G2 beachcomber. so, here i am today trying to repaint tf's. i've completed 2 so far (today and ever), and while my HOT NEW RED DROPKICK is curing, i'm gonna post photos of Prime in his Primest. Criticism welcome! (just dont be too mean)

Hello all. As many of you know, I really don't like repainting my Alternators. But in order to do this character justice, I just had to repaint an extra Alt. Ricochet I had sitting around. I used Krylon Fusion for the yellow which worked great and I used clothing dye(RIT) to color the legs black. The custom Bumblebee head is completely scratch-built by myself and will remain a one-of-a-kind sculpt. However, I WILL be making a Cliffjumper version for those interested. I will be posting some pictures in Alt. mode but I need to repaint the rims silver before I do so.

Poor old G1 Seaspray,part of the "hippie" minibots from 85,crap Alt mode & that bubbly voice.Fit for little more than gaurding the base.Well not this time,now Seaspray gets a nasty side..Seaspray was made from Energon Mirage with a few minor mods,most of the Add ons were from an airfix vosper torpedo boat kit.The face plate was made from the Anchor with a few grooves cut in it.I swaped the original weapons for more realistic torpedo launchers & used them to make a pair of harpoon guns..Seaspray was painted with games workshop paints,mostly burnished gold,dwarf bronze,codex gray & a custom mix blue.Alt mode pics as soon as the varnish cures.Loads more pics here…

Been working on him for a little while but now he's finally finished. The only things removable are the missles and handgun. The chest plate, shoulder stacks and cab halves are permanantly attached and are part of the transformation. And as a preemptive, Tramp, everyone already know all about your feelings about Ultra Magnus' trailer and armor. SO DON'T HIJACK MY THREAD WITH ARMOR ARGUMENTS.

A little paint thinner + a lot of Q-Tips and patience = The robot mode isn't really changed any, unless you look at him from the back. I just thought you guys might be interested to see what a non-decaled version of this guy would look like. I like him immeasurably more now. :thumb

I`ve wanted to do an Alt Streetwise with the Prowl mold as soon as its release but never had the time to. But now I have my chance. I know someone else has done Streetwise as well(can`t remember who), but this is my take on him. First off, I wanted to make him an unmarked police intercepter. Plus it`s less work. :tflaugh Actually, I could have thrown a gold star on his doors as well as paint some black trim and keep the light bar on the roof but to me that was his G1 alt mode and not what i was going for here, just to be different. This explains why he has such a bland Alt mode.
