Toys

Nert nert whirr click! What would Transformers be without toys? Share the love of all things plastic and die-cast in here.

  1. Started by Galvatron_sama,

Since the holiday shoppings eason is pretty much over by now. I stopped by a Target store today. I went to another Target store the 1st of the yr. but there were Cybertron toys in stock (Megs, Optimus, SS, etc) This other one, NONE whatsoever, NOT even Alternators. I would assume Tf sold well at this Target store i went to today or they didnt get their new shipment of TFs.

  2. Started by BlackBird,

I tried to just collect the figures that were in the movie but that never happens as I proved with the 2007 movie. So what I still need to find are: Definately Buying: Jolt (Deluxe) Arcee (Deluxe) Long Haul (Voyager) Devastator (Legends) (Whether he's coming to the U.S. Or not as soon as they announce that it's for sale and not Pre-order I"m buying it) Debating on Buying: Devastator (Supreme) (Need to figure out how to paint it a bit better and if hasbro is going to be making the rest of the Constructicons in Robot mode forms also) Mudflap/ Skids Ice Cream Truck (Deluxe) Knock Out (Scout) (Liked him in The Veiled Threat) Ejector (Scout) (Now only if they…

Yesterday I came across and picked up what will be a few of my Sweeps figs. But to distinguish them from Scourge, there's got to be something different. I had decided to either paint a part of them another color, or something. I'm not sure. I just thought I'd ask my fellows for some ideas.

  4. Started by Yuyuyami,

Who here is having a blast with their Animated Grimlock? I didn't like him very well at first because he didn't have lateral bicep and thigh swivels. Then I started messing with his poseability and I found some of the most kickass poses EVER. He can hold almost any one footed stance you can think of if you fiddle around with him enough. Hint: He has the tail kibble on his legs: Use it to easily balance him on one foot. You might need to tighten the joints for good measure.

  5. Started by Optimus Timelord,

I was shopping around on ebay earlier and found this. Roadbots didn't appeal much to me when they were 1/18 and 1/32 scale but they've now taken up the Alternator scale of 1/24 and I just had to have one of these to display with my Alt/BTs. There's a certain resemblance to G1 Sunstreaker... Note a couple of other 1/24 Roadbots including a new Hummer design, a Peugeot RC Carreau and a Toyota Estima... http://happywell.smeitrade.com/showroom/model/F0020/templateProductDetails.do?ParentId=1213021591353&productId=1235310797437&editCurrentLanguage=1151570409149&webId=1151570409147

  6. Started by Thad_theImpaler,

Here's an oddball little question.... does anyone know if long-term display of TF's under a black light will damage the plastic? Like premature yellowing of whites and stuff. I ask 'cus I just switched the florescent bulb at my desk at work with a black light and I keep about 50 odd TF's here at my desk at work and wanna make sure they'll be OK like that, 'cus I'm enjoying how some of the plastics glow under the black light and look pretty cool (makes me wonder if most of the G2 TF's were supposed to be played with and displayed under black-lights...)

  7. Is the cockpit canopy removable? It seems to be a separate piece of plastic and wobbles a bit when I try to pull it, but I'm afraid to apply any significant force to it since if it's meant to be permanently attached it might break. It's an awesome figure by the way, if you don't mind 1980s levels of articulation (he's actually got some decent movement in the arms with 360 degree rotation at the shoulders and bending elbows, but the legs are completely stationary.) Sorta like a small, black version of G1 Whirl, but a hell of a lot less expensive.

  8. Ok, went to Walmart tonight/this morning and came across an open box of TF stuff on the pallet with those "do not open till whenever" stickers. I look inside to find SKYWARP & RAMJET!!!!! 2 of them had f'd up packaging, so i ended up getting only one of each. Ok here's the facts, OFFICIAL DISPLAY DATE: June 20 2009 QUANTITY per BOX: 2 SKYWARP/ 2 RAMJET (4 total pieces per box) PRICE $: 30.97 each I dont know how many of you wanted these, but this may get ugly b/c its only 2 of each seeker per box. There was only one box of these guys on the unsorted toy pallets. I dont know how limited they're gonna be, but they're kinda pricy. What was…

  9. Started by Jaguaratron,

Just a quick side by side comparison on the prerelease Prowls, please forgive the pics as Prowl has a metallic white/pearlesent paint job that was very tricky to photograph, if I used the flash then it just reflected it back and without my cam found it hard to focus :( He looks so much better painted its unreal, though funnily enough this one seems to be hand painted and painted extreamly well, just a few corners/joins where you can see the paint showing through to the plastic. The paint looks BT like as it is fully painted not just coloured plastic as is Hasbros norm, I had to tap the panels a couple of times to make sure it wasnt in fact the BT version I had (True)…

  10. So I'm going home from workand decided to go look for Wheeljack in my neiborhood Target just to see if the Prime toys had started being stocked. And if there was a Soundwave, might as well pick him up too. Well, getting there, yes, the TF Prime toys were there and I found Wheeljack! Score!! but just as I'm about to leave I hear someone saying..."Buy me"! Looking all around I was all "who's there?? You'll not pry the pick of destiny from my hands"! Still another "Buy me!" and I look down to see...RID Optimus Prime. Now in previous threads I know I was all like ...man, SCREW RID! But just for giggles I picked him up after three minutes of contemplation, open…
