How quickly we learn to take things for granted.... Three years ago, we would have been crapping in our pants over a figure like Alternators Sideswipe. But now we're all like, "oh he's lame". Am I the only one who thinks it's a major achievement to make a Transformer out of a convertible (with an actual engine and working doors, hood and steering as well)? Geez.

You ar right, but is it asking to much to give deadend a black gun???

Ah, but then people would bitch because "engines aren't black!" And that seems a bit of a nitpicky complaint, when the character itself is the wrong colors and doesn't even have the right head sculpt.

The only complaint(s) I have thus far are;

 

Sideswipe/Dead Ends lack of knee posability

Hounds lack of shoulder posability... both of these are correctable.

 

I love the transformations.. they are fun and even though some of them are similar to others that doesn't take away from the apeal of the individual figure

Different car types, but similar transformation. I don't mind the same transformation as long as the cars are totally different. :thumb

I think that was kind of the point.

I wont even touch that "4-door cars are the majority" thing, since Madhammer's already heard my tirade on that! But definitely different cars. Much as I love Jeeps, (Im practically obsessed) I wouldnt want to see every vehicle in the line be a Jeep. Anything can get redundant, and that vehicle wouldnt work for everyone.

 

And your damn right, MH. Convertibles are twice the work as any hardtop, because the whole interior is right there out in the open. With a shape as simple (relatively) as a roof, you can get it to fold, twist, do anything you want. But with such a complex set of shapes as four seats, a console, and dash your options are very limited. Look at Hound/Swindle. The interior is kinda tacked on looking, but what are you gonna do?

 

The very idea that anyone thinks a Viper turning into a robot, especially a classic character with a cool personality could be lame is vile.

one of the new alternators should have a roof or hood as a shield... it should be difficult to make it work and is a good alternative to what we have now... what about more weapons like grimlock..
