I can't even begin to describe how much :fail there is in these figures. They look like they were designed to be power ranger toys!

 

Colors = :fail Orange and blue are fun, but there's no meshing of the two when they're combined. They look ridiculous.

Bot modes = :fail The only differences appear to be in the head molds and that's about it.

Jet modes = :fail They look like something out of power rangers. There's nothing to them. You can CLEARLY see the legs and feet.

Combined modes = :fail :fail :fail!!!!!!!!!!!! The combined robot looks somewhat decent but he has no hands. I REALLY hope that's just mistransformed. The combined jet mode involves putting one jet on top of the other. HOLY CRAP THAT'S AMAZING. Step aside Powermasters Darkwing and Dreadwind, G2 Dreadwind and Smokejumper, or VIRTUALLY EVERY OTHER DOUBLE COMBINER EVER MADE. Let's look at this amazing bowl of crap that Hasbro has given us now. The toys produced for Takara's Brave line had more imagination than this!!

 

Screw the animated line. I'm sticking with Universe (barely) and the older stuff. There's no imagination in these toys anymore. They're just being milled out to make a buck :tdown

I feel unintrested and unimpressed, and will most likely pass on these and the eventual DarkWing/ReadWing repaint(calling it now)

Unexpected to say the least.

 

I understand how people/myself included could be underwhelmed/but for the most part the fit the animated aesthetic.

 

As a deluxe twin pack the engineering doesn't look too bad but again uninspiring.

 

Bot modes look passable. FTR much better than any of the recent SWTFs. Regarding hands my guess is each bot has two removable guns (fire/ice) and are blocking the hands/at least I hope that's the case.

 

Personally I'm fine with the bot/combined modes (better than E Omega Supreme and that f*cker was supreme class)

 

My only real gripe is the alt modes. The forward section (nose/cockpit is very Classics Jetfire esque) but the rear section looks completely unfinished. Seriously the legs are just turned and connected. Looks lazy. needs a winged back section.

 

I'll wait for them to appear in Season 3 before I decide anything.

 

Skipping both won't be a big deal either. I've already skipped multiple animated figures so it's not like I'm a slaved completest or anything.

 

I like the fire/ice theme. Similar to the Thunder/Lighting pairing in Teen Titans.

Animated really isn't for me but I have nothing against it either. The jet modes do indeed look half, shall we say, traditional and have Animated, but a poorer version of Animated.

These remind me of the lame Pretender era of transformers.

bright colors, stupid design gimicks with weak alt modes.

I think that these two will be,

Jetfire:- Enthusiastic and flies into battle without thought doing damage but eventually running out of ideas..

Jetstorm:- Apathetic to anyone's shouts during battle, he has to think every action through calmly and patiently but will come to the aid of his brother in half a second flat.

 

Combined form:- A joker who reduces the autobots to tears of laughter, and the decepticons to puddles of molten alloys..

 

Probably the jet has some kind of "Giant Flying Spiraling Spearhead" attack.

 

I love the jets, they look like Wip3ouT vehicles turned tanks. The contrasting robotmode looks almost inspired by "Hoodie" looks, but Hip-Hop style'd.
