Hey I got one for you and one that is LOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG over due: GI Joe X-over

 

Hell that's one X-over line that makes sense! How many times did we see in comic form GI Joe versus Decpticons and Cobra?!?!?!?!

 

And I'm not talking the cheap and crappy Marvel X-over, I talking about SWTF quality with pilots and such, landing gear opening roosterpits and all the funtions of the vehical still working. I want my Starscream Rattler!!!!

 

YES! The (forget how many - around 8-10?) comics X-overs set an awesome precedent - who WOULDN'T buy G.I.Joe-themed TFs?!

 

Didn't the functional place for two inch tall pilot figures kind of RUIN the vast majority of Star Wars TFs? I mean, the Rattler toy on its own is nearly a supreme class in terms of sheer size...

 

No, the designers ruined them.. ( Mostly by confining mech-modes to bipedal 'humanoids' ) Ok, having the 'working cockpit' design-restraint could be a hinderance, but many of the original Headmasters (from the 80's!) overcame it & turned out FAR better than most SWTFs.

 

They could use scaled-down vehicles & figures (ala Sigma-6), keeping most around Voyager-sized ; even using designs from the comics as a template. The 25th Anniversary line of G.I.Joes has been brilliant (in all but distribution) & shows there are savvy fanboys working within. With both major brands celebrating their 25th year, G.I.TFs would make a superb tie-in! (PleasePleasePlease!)

for most ppl logical thinking is impossible, TF- joe crossover is like peanut butter and jelly , they been togeather for like EVER.....Disney = EPIC :fail

Well, the other thing is that "Crossover" to Hasbro just means "Characters from this line turn into vehicles." People want "Cobra Commander piloting a Rattler that turns into Starscream" and Hasbro is making "Luke Skywalker pilots an X-Wing that turns into...Luke Skywalker."

 

I don't want what Hasbro's been doing with the Crossover line done with G.I. Joe.

 

Doing it with Disney, on the other hand, is something new and chin scratchingly intriguing.

No kidding.

 

GI Joe "Transformers" would just be Cobra Commander piloting a Rattler that turns into a giant Cobra Commander robot. Even though could mix the properties since they own both sets of IP, I think they'd look at the success of the SW/Marvel guys and just employ the same strategy.

Hasbro: Alright, everyone get ready for the biggest announcement ever. We are going to do a crossover with our popular brand of TRANSFORMERS!

Fan thinking: YES! YES, YES YES! Finally, we get our GI Joe Transformers! I knew this day would come!

Hasbro: That's right, we are combining Star Wars AND Transformers to make...THE STAR WARS TRANSFORMERS!

Fan thinking: ........ :suicide

 

 

And years later, they would make the same mistake. With the most obscure crossover ever. Disney already has Final Fantasy, what more could they want?

Really? Not around here...the entire clearance aisle at Walmart has been filled with the same ones since they hit the shelves.

Right. Especially since this usually results in fan speculation that ultimately would shortchange the GI Joe collectors. I mean, they LOVE the 3 - 4 inch figures. Making them buy smaller toys that ultimately ONLY work with the Transformer toys (who they might not care about that much) just because the Transformer fans HAVE to have a Starscream that turns into Blue Powerglide would be rather mean...

I dunno, maybe they want a Lego Mickey Mouse game... Which would be awesome, jsut because of all the old cartoons they could do. :tflol

 

And Disney already has the rights to RiD in America, so, maybe this is a way for Disney to make RiD boxests :zzz
