No problems with mine. My brother had no problems with him. I think it's a hit or miss deal and is probably blown way out of proportion.

My Prowl's doors are just fine. However, the problem doesn't seem so much the fault of the plastic, but the paint itself. Though, so far I've been extremely lucky with my figures. (17 Movie figures, 5 Animated figures, and 2 Universe, no serious problems on any of them)

The paint on mine was coming off in chunks, so I just sanded it all off. It was WORTH it. He looks SO freakin' cool translucent!

I recall you mentioning this the other day, do you have a pic? I'd like to see how it looks.

Here: I'm not the best photographer, but these should do well enough.

I have had mine for almost a month now and have had not had any problems whatsoever. Of course, he spends most of his time in robot mode with the rest of the Classics Autobots in my display case.

However, to avoid this problem most of the time, I open a fig, and I grab some clear varnish (it's a clear coat) and just add a protective layer to areas that I know from either here or from knowledge based upon the figures (like tampographed faction symbols). It works wonderfully. I did it to Premium DLX Barricade on his doors to prevent the shiny paint from coming off, and nada. Hasn't come off in the months that I've owned him.

I have younger siblings at home who I do let play with some of the simpler ones (of course, depending on their skill, some of the sibs are allowed to play with some of the more complex ones).

That is pretty cool! If the entire bot could be done, I'd do it in a heartbeat. How does the Bot Mode look?

The bot mode is almost entirely the same, that's why I didn't take pictures of it. Looking at it from the front with the wings folded down is pretty much the result you'll get since the translucent parts bunch up at the back and aren't really used for anything else.

I figured, but I was wondering if the clear layers make for some good reflections?

I'd figure it would have a light piping type effect almost like the clear Energon parts.

Looks like a proto.

If I ever do get around grabbing any of these I'm hoping I'm as fortunate with Q/C as I have been with nearly all other lines. The worst I got in the movie line was visible fingerprint smeared ontop of Stockade. :tfmad
