armada unicron was the figure that got me collecting lines other than alternators

 

i'm glad this is a repackaged toy - saves me from wanting it & gives people that missed it the first time around a second chance (or a first chance if they got back into TF's after the movie)

well from the box art and the clearer picture it looks like they at lest gave him the red chest.

 

I own the black version from energon and although the G1 inspired colours (no-one can deny that the armada release was pretty close to his appearence in the movie) I shan't be buying this.

His legs look like they could be a little different (maybe for a "rounder" alternate mode), but it may just be an illusion.

 

I will get this if I ever see it cheap, but I can't see myself shelling out $50 for a third Unicron. Still, it's a good addition to the Universe line.

Who know, perhaps one day insanity will take over Tomy and they will make a Masterpiece Unicron.

I'm just annoyed for the reason that this isn't a 10$-20$ repurchase. I have no problem with Universe being what it is, a repaint fest for the G1 crazy but for as much money as this toy commands it should be this:

 

You do realize that toy is like, $30 in size.

don't care for the box art... but if the price is right i might pick up one. wondering if they might also offer a repaint in the energon colors. hmm....

Well, looking on the bright side...unless you are a devoted MIMP collector, you will save some money! Plus, if you missed him the first time around, you have another opportunity!

 

Personally, when Universe first came out years ago, I kinda wished they'd do a black and red repaint...you know, to invoke a more "demonic" image. Hey, isn't that what his robot form was more or less based on? Would have been neat to see.
