By the time this movie comes out we're going to know who plays every single role. Major, minor or even bit part. Did we know this much for the last movie?

 

Almost. I think there were a few things that weren't known, but people are on their toes for the progress of this films production. I don't care what Bay says, peole are going to find stuff out. By the end of the year we'll be finding out who the robot cast will involve aside from the already known ones of Prime, BB, Screamer, Ratchet, Ironhide and Barricade.

 

I seem to recall knowing almost a full year prior to the movie's release who the robot cast for the first film was. By the end of the year we should start seeing the first toy prototypes, which will give us a good idea of what everyone's going to look like.

If they're filming the scenes a UPenn, why not just say it's at UPenn and not Princeton?

There could be any number of reasons.

 

 

The leaked treatment had a rift developing between Sam and Bumblebee because of his excursions around New York, which is very close to Princeton, so that might play a part in using one college over the other.

 

Or, the college's proximity to Fort Dix might play an important roll with the military characters.

 

 

But, even if it's not for a specific purpose, does it really matter? I usually can't tell one campus from another in movies.

 

They're filming in Philly because the city offers some awesome tax incentives to film there. The incentives must be better than what the Princeton, NJ area offers, if any.

 

Also, I think they're filming additional scenes in the city, so it'd be more efficient.
