This is by far the most complete update to Devastator EVER!

Ugh. Classics Devastator is a monstrosity. They'd have to pay ME $40 to take it off their hands. And even then, I'd display on the back side of the bathroom door.

For Classics I think I'd go with the Green Landfill set from Universe. It may be only four figures, but at least the individual TF's are more in scale with the others. Of course, Classics is absolutely not interested in scale (the smallest Autobot is almost the same size as a seeker).

 

As for the Classic Devastator set, it really is a shame it was sold as a set. Really like the look of Scrapper. Already love the mold but in almost complete gray he looks even better. But not going to get the whole set (of which I neither like the torso mold nor the crane) just for this one figure...uh, no!

I use this one as Devastator in my collection.

 

i hate that one.... maybe not hate but i've only ever combined it once... the other ones get transformed frequently....

 

can't figure out how the backhoe is supposed to be for arm mode.....

 

I like it.

 

I have the backhoe sort of floating over the head (there's a peg somewhere back there to attach it to) to make it a back weapon. I have Long Haul as the arms, Scavenger and Hightower Hook as the legs. The giant sniper rifle goes in one hand and Long Haul's bed goes on the other arm as a shield/pincher thingy.

 

The only figure of this set I don't like I Scavenger, his bot mode is kind of lame. I like this combiner much more than Constructicon Maximus.

Tried it once. Didn't like it. You aren't missing much. Long Haul/Hook work much better as the arms, IMO.

The itty-bitty thumbnails look sweet, but I'm not signing up for another board just to look @ some pics. Does anyone have them already and can post them here? (Or is that not allowed?)
