any background character in any of those movies seems to have a name and a whole novel about them. i find it quite stupid and ridiculous overkill. so i kinda hope TFs doesnt get into the same mess like that

Really? You think he made up "CNN Reporter (1 Scene)". The false leaks* are gonna be huge things - robot designs and script pages and stuff. Not

*I, personally, think that the "false leaks" threat was, in itself, a sort of false leak to downplay the legitimacy of the treatment that got out just before he said that.

Actually I kind of like that about the SW universe. It adds layers of depth to the whole story arc.

And realistically, considering this is a story about two halves of an entire race going to war against each other, keeping the cast at 5-10 bots per side per movie won't work. Sooner or later they'll need to bring in nameless cannon fodder.

I love Devastator as much as the next guy, but seriously, why did he suddenly gain like, five more trucks to make his upper legs and lower arms.

Anyway, who gives a crap about the human actors? (Beyond, maybe, Sam, Mikaela and... Military guy who's name evades me)

I'd still prefer a triple changer to a Gestalt team myself.

Especially when considering that Bay really excited about getting an aircraft carrier TFs, I'd also say that hopefully Tidal Wave will be on TF2.

I will need more proof on the whole "Devastator" thing, b4 allowing myself to fall short and believe whats not even facts ... yet. I think that Brawl & Bonecrusher could be good add ons for a combiner. But BRUTE FORCE, not construction vehicles IMO. Like BRUTICUS! **perfect**

he is a Autobot Triple Changer who turns into either a tiny aircraft carrier and a jet, or an impossibly large "jet" and an aircraft carrier. Broadside also happens to be terrified of heights. And gets seasick on the water.

Because mass shifting in the movie-verse isn't going to happen.

Seems to work for Animated.

 

 

Anyway, it's not so much a "war" is it a "skirmish between widely scattered remnants of once great armies fighting over a dead world" - which adds an element of pathos of the whole situation (not that Bay or any movie people have ever considered that).

I could almost see Bay try something like a combinertriple changer. 4 or 5 individual robots that make up a larger robot that also has an alt mode of its own. then they wouldn't even have to worry about mass shifting
