"Megatron Rising Part 1"

Recommended Posts

I dunno. I wonder if some past Prime's would have taken it right away. But yeah, I can picture some just letting her keep it as well.

hmmm well I can see a fair few of the western primes taking it but given how anime tends to always have a child side kick i sadly see most of the newer primes just dragging the kid along

My opinion how they each would of handled the situation.

G1 Prime: He would of given some speech to convince the child, in which the child would hand it over.

Rodimus: Would of gotten frustrated, in which Arcee would step in and reasoned with the kid.

BW Primal: Convinces kid to hand it over, but Dinobot steals it.

BM Primal: Keeps talking to the kid, the kid gives him the key just to shut him up.

RID Prime: Would of locked the kid in the base with the hologram chick.

A/E/C Primes: Not even a discussion, kids hand it over becuase they love Autobots and they are insecure.

Movie Prime: Would of taken the key just like animated Prime

Just finished downloaded it via Torrent, watched again, and :awsum

"Forgive me, master! I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!" (long pauses, then..) "What happen to your body?"

ROTFL

By the way

Grimlock: Dinobots not need robots to fight! Dinobots destroy robots!

Optimus Prime: In case you haven't noticed, Dinobots are robots.

Very similar to G1 "The Ultimate Doom" mini series.

Grimlock: Me Grimlock not care about Earth Destroyed

Prime: With you on it?

Grimlock: Hadn't thought about that

I got deja-vu seeing BB look up at Starscream standing in the hole of the building. I was expecting him to say, "There's a hole in the shuttle!!"

Could we please be clear about one thing? Aside from one brief paragraph at the very end, this isn't so much a review as a recap.

you know one thing i do like about this prime is how he just takes the key past primes would have let her keep it

I also liked it, because the way the scene played, you kind of felt like Prime was being a dick about it. But at the same time, he was forced into that situation because he had previously been so lenient about letting Sari go wherever she wanted with the key. In other words, his own prior lack of judgment as a leader was now coming back to bite him in the ass, and he ended up alienating two of his own team members as a result. He's just got N00B written all over him, as they definitely illustrated throughout that episode. But his n00B-ness was played in a really believable way. The way he varied between overdoing it and second-guessing himself was really well-done and honest.

And I loved Starscream's interaction with Megatron. It was great how Starscream -- who had traveled to Sumdac Tower with every intention of obliterating Megatron -- was actually cowed by his presence when it came to it. And this is just Megatron's broken head. The fact that that alone still caused this reflexive fear response in Starscream said a lot. Again, reinforcing just how terrifying Megatron is. (True, Starscream isn't the most courageous guy out there anyway, but Animated Starscream seems much less craven than his G1 namesake.) And the conversation between the two of them, with Megatron not showing his hand (so to speak)... that was great. I love the idea of Megatron keeping the knowledge of Starscream's betrayal to himself.

Agreed.

My favourite scene from the episode (and there were a lot of good ones) had to be the one where Bumblebee bursts into the room stingers blazing and doesn't even scratch Starscream. 'Screamer then proceeds to PWN him.

Prime's "Oh Slag" look at the end when he saw Megatron's resurrection was a close second.

Yes.

Yay for consistency. It would be lame if all of a sudden Bumblebee was a mega-1337 warrior. His "stingers" are just tools, really. It'd be like attacking a armed/armored soldier with a welding torch or something.
