anyway thats where i got my name on here, I wanted to make a reverse Omega prime, hence AlphaMagnus.

 

now i know it can be done. Kudos!

why yes we were, i guess that inverted op/um may just show up after all. maybe i should get my but in gear and finish the upteen things that i have sitting arond. i suck as of late.

 

nice job vp. i like the original twist on it. it's not what i had invisioned for mine, i always go super g1, but all around excellent.

 

i don't see how any of you didn't see this. reg mode bot + trailer = super mode? that screams ultra magnus, but maybe it's just me.

 

i don't mind the white front and blue background since it's obviously throw back to the trailer. but i do think instead of just the colors stoppin and starting, you should have had the white go over on the the "trailer" some, maybe even use a silver stripe to seperate it, you know like on g1 truck.

 

this reminds me of the ggg brothers. i had bought the ko's at kb a long time ago to make them into op/um and omega prime but never got around to it.

is that super cyb screamer head?

 

I also modded the chest to make it look more Ultra Magnus and replaced the head with a Hydrospanned (and modded) Energon Superion head.

Same here. Had really never thought of this as Ultra Magnus (was immediately thinking of Defensor), but never of Magnus. But the mold works perfectly for Magnus.

 

Looks extremely good.

 

My only problem (and it's a very slight one) is with the altmode. With the front being al white and the second half all blue and red, they don't seem to belong together. But they should because there really part of the same truck and can't operate without the other half. I think maybe a (thin) blue line continuing from the aft part over the white cab would help making the truck more look like a single piece. The missile being white helps some for the aft part, but the front really looks too much like a seperate piece.

 

 

But as I said, it's only a small problem. He looks effing amazing. Great idea of using him and a great execution :thumb

 

Yeah, after a second look your right about the blue for the cab portion. Probably a blue stripe down the side of the cab would make it gel a bit better with the rest of the vehicle.

 

Funny you would mention Defensor. I actually never owned this figure until a month ago when I bought it thinking I would turn it into the would be TF Club Hotspot/Defensor exclusive that we've seen (I'll probably still do that). I wanted to do a Magnus custom when the contest was announced but didn't know what figure to use. When I received RID Prime in the mail I played around with it and it just hit me that this would make a great G1/Classics/Universe armored Ultra Magnus...
