Decepticon Binaltech/Alt are getting shafted

Recommended Posts

I dont see how the 'Cons are getting shafted at all. Dead end got the best color and body style so far of any of the cars, a black Viper coupe, competition type no less. And Hound is a stock Wrangler Sport, whereas Swindle gets the bigger tires and the brush guard. So it looks to me like they got upgraded, way more bad-ass versions then the Autobots did.

Don't confuse people with facts, man! :tflaugh

I know alot of people are asking why HasTak can't do a repaint of Prowl as the WRX.  I highly doubt Subura wants their WRX converted into a police car.

That's where you're wrong:

I think the biggest problem in making decepticons is that no car maker wants their cars to be the "bad guys". In terms of Decepticons, I think that they will *always* be a repaint of an existing Autobot - because no car company would be willing to sign away their cars as exclusively evil.

Those pics don't prove that I'm wrong. They just prove that WRX has been repainted into cop cars by some police department. They are not necessarily approved by Subaru. Once you buy something, you're allowed to do whatever you want with it. Look at all the Prowl repaints from Silverstreak. Same goes for real cars. Now, there are companies who give special contracts for their cars to police and fire departments (e.g. crown victorias), but the pics you showed don't prove that Subaru gave a contract to any police department.

I can't imagine how difficult it would be to get licensing from the Goverment or Lockheed or whoever owns the rights to the jets.

Considering the vast numbers of perfectly accurate military jet toys and models out there, I don't think that it is too difficult to secure these licences (if they are even required at all).

That is true. Although I don't think you need a license to make an accurate model of the real thing. Some of the G1 toys were based on real cars (Silverstreak was based on a Datsun 240). I don't build model planes so I don't know. Anyone here build model planes? Are there licensing info on the boxes of these?

OOOOOhhhhplease do give me the screamer

but not in his original colors butt in the colors off the Mitsubishi Lancer evo8

used in the Motion Picture 2Fast 2Furious and off course as a lancer evo8

ohh yes all the way same colors same decals

Gimme Gimme Gimme

please please please

or

Do the seekers in a Nissan Skyline gtr 34

all in there original colors

If the original seekers were to be made into cars, F1 cars would be perfect. They would be sleek and very fast just like Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp are known to be.

My 2 cents. :D

If they did more Decepticons, then I think they could do updated version of ones like Runamuck, Runabout, all of the Stunticons and any other Decepticons that had car modes. The BT line really should just be for G1 Autobots anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing truck BT TF's coming out for Autobots like Inferno and Grapple and a UK ambulence BT as Ratchet. If Prowl were to be ever done in a police car colour, then I would love to see him done as a UK one or the US highway police style with a completely different transformation to Smokescreen and Silverstreak, already got my own ideas on a new transformation for him. Decepticons are always better as jets because jets can be seen as both good and bad, depending on those using it, so if Hasbro and Takara were able to get the permission to use jet designs for Decepticons, as long as they agreed to do Autobots as well, then the Arielbots could maybe get a revival. Just got to wait and see.

OK OK I'll save you the effort of actually having to dig for this information:

From: http://www.subaru-global.com/topics/news/2004/0225.html

Police in Fairfield, NSW, have struck a sponsorship deal with Subaru Australia to use a turbocharged Impreza WRX STi sedan for use in promotional and youth liaison work.

The Impreza carries eye-catching Subaru and Police identification and is being used in the Fairfield Local Area Command, under a six-month sponsorship.

The Impreza WRX STi is one of the most recognized cars among young people, thanks largely to its legendary rallying success.

Its appeal is being used as an "ice-breaker" by Police involved in youth liaison work, driver training and traffic awareness programmes.

One objective is for Police to encourage young car enthusiasts to get their own vehicles off the street and to a proper drag strip at Western Sydney International Dragway at Eastern Creek, to race against the clock in a controlled, legal and safe environment.

Subaru Australia General Manager Nick Senior said: "There's a huge interest among young people in the Impreza WRX STi and by joining forces with the Police in an area close to our national headquarters at Wetherill Park, we see it as a positive opportunity to learn about driving fun, without the potential dangers of the open road or the annoyance to local residents.

"The feedback we've had from the Police is that a lot of young people who normally wouldn't bother to talk to them are finding a common interest in the car.

"They realize they have a shared interest with the Police and it makes them more likely to listen to their suggestions about driving generally, and consider joining in some of the informative and fun programs available in the area to enhance road safety."
