I was rewatching "Thrill of the Hunt" and it seemed to me like Blitzwing may have become the new leader of the Decepticons. Both Starscream and Megatron are MIA, leaving a power vacuum that someone had to fill. I'm just surprised that it would be filled by someone as unstable as Blitzwing. But the fact he was the one speaking to Lockdown, and what he said ("As long as I am satisfied with your results..." the I made me feel like Blitzwing was the one in charge) made me feel like Blitz might've taken leadership.

 

Though to be honest I doubt the writers will even establish anyone as leader of the Decepticons in Megatron's absence.

i'd say that out of the three decepticons from the pilot, blitzwing is the most logical choice, as blackarachnia is too traitorous, and lugnut is... lugnut. blitzwing is loyal, and smart enough to try finding megatron.

Finally. A fan thought up plot point that I can get behind. I actually never thought about it till now. Besides his crazy side, he did seem smart.

 

Really though, I just figured that even though Megs is gone, it's pretty much business as usual in the Decepticon world. They are searching for the Allspark and Megs but nobody's really saying, "I'm leader now!!" Like you know who.

How many of them are there anyway? Blackarachnia probably doesn't give a crap, and Lugnut is clearly just there to tell everyone how awesome Megatron is.

Blitzwing probably is leader for now, in the pilot, Starscream was moaning about how if he found the Allspark then the Decepticons would have no choice but to follow him, if he had led instead of babbling whilst everyone abandonned ship he might of led. Blitzwing can't be doing too bad a job of it if after 50 Earth years no-one has overthrown him.
