Both Seibertron and Wikipedia say his Japanese name is Octone, I'm going with that. But I do agree with Father Time, it's ink on paper, call him Devastator if you want.

Takara's Megatron is so much better than Hasbro's, there is more detail in the paint work and in fact, Takara are applying MORE paint to the bots and MORE detail. the only thing missing are the rub signs, which are easily replaced. So, instead of simply accepting that others may not share your opinion, you claim that all opinions other than yours are wrong, and furthermore you try to discredit the people not sharing your opinions by questioning their motives?

 

Where did he not accept yours? Saying its "ashame" that people don't like them is a fair conclusion.

I'm more then willing to admit that TT's Classics Megs is far superior to the Hasbro version in terms of paint aps. In fact I'm not ashamed to say I have one on pre-order.

 

The rest of the TT Classics though? Easily substandard compared to the Hasbro versions.

Before throwing out accusations of jealousy,i DID wait,but now that i have seen the Henkei tfs i am very dissapointed,the new megatron looks like a knockoff,paint apps were removed mostly. (except on starscream,which i'll buy) and the chrome was applied without thinking where they put it.

Kinda stupid,since Octane is a word,not a name. wasn´t it a fuel?Also,translators all seem to translate the japanese name for Octane into Octorn.

Folks...Just wait for the Takara recolours/remolds, which are bound to be:- Powerglide in his "correct" G1 colours.- Onslaught in his "correct" g1 paint scheme and probably retooled with new combaticons to combine with him.- "Tankor" given his correct name and probably with longer wings.Plus all the bots will undoubtedly all be given better paint schemes too.Do what I did with the classics line (excluding the special ed constructicons and the magnus 2 pack).....wait.Just wait. Hasbro will learn to give you all what you want. Dont buy what you are not happy with. Wait.They always come out later anyway.Wait.

Uhm,hello sleepy face?Universe is a USA exclusive line,like robot masters to japan.And a lot of fans consider the henkei! henkei! transformers! series a bucketload of crap,since all they did was remove paint apps that made the figs look good,and add chrome in way too random places.And a takara version with other combiners? fat chance in hell.And if tankor's wings would be longer he wouldn't be able to fit into truck mode anymore,and wouldn't be a triplechanger,and giving him his correct name? fine,let's all call him Octorn. I would actually be okay with that,i just don't think takara is going to do that. but on this one,i may be wrong.

Why do you think Universe, or Classics 2.0, is an USA exclusive line? I doubt so, since it is a successor to Classics, which was distributed worldwide.

Universe is not a new line,and so far no universe figures have been released outside of the US.Which i hate,cause there are some i really would have liked to buy.

I don't get the name thing, either. Especially since it's been stated time and again that Hasbro has said that getting the rights to certain names is impossible nowdays due to trademark/copyright issues with other companies. They could have called him Big Daddy for all I care. I know who he's really supposed to be. :tftongue

 

And Onslaught looks fricken cool! :thumb He's slated as an Ultra, so I can't wait to see/hear what kind of electronic goodies that will be incorporated into him! :clap
