Movie Adventure sets Bumblebee and Skorpinok ...

... how so?

Not wanting to waste money is not being cheap. Not wanting to pay more than we should is not being cheap. We're being rational.

It makes me laugh that "wise spending" argument. Where you think you save, you waste elsewhere.

... on things I'd rather have.

I'd rather go to a store and buy two Deluxes than a single Deluxe and a couple of tiny humans.

I'd rather get the better deco of that particular figure AND human figures that are in the movie. And not waste my money on beer, cigarettes, pot, etc. so I can buy even more of that plastic crack.

Some of you guys are soooooooooooooooo cheap, it's not even funny. ;) I bet you end up spending twice the difference you refuse to pay on some other crap.

Yep, I don't need food. I'll just twice as much of my money on a figure that's exactly the same as one I have, only it has grey limbs instead of black, tiny figures which will never see the light of day, and a nice package I'm tossing as soon as I get the figure out.

Who needs food right?

Dude, this is already a costly hobby as-is. It doesn't need to be any more expensive then it already is.

No one is forcing you. :) I find it a bit depressing when I read "fans" Starscreaming about how a deluxe figure shouldn't be selling for more than $5, a leader for $20, a Ultimate figure on clearance at $10 and bla, bla, bla... People don't seem to realize how much a TF figure is really worth, especially compared to similarly priced toys that don't transform or do much... Nothing's free. And Transformers, for what they have to offer, are certainly not overpriced. I'm considering myself extremely lucky to still being offered tons of superbly engineered Transformers today when it would have been easy to kill the concept a long time ago in favor of something else I wouldn't care about.

Most people are fine with Deluxes, Voyagers, and most set prices. Our problems come from the whole "doubling the price of a Deluxe for... almost nothing." And yes, it's our opinion and no one's forcing us to pay more... so why are you pushing the issue?

OH MY GOD. WE DON'T WANT TO PAY MORE THAN WE HAVE TO? WHAT?!?!?!!??!?!?!?? WE'RE CHEAP BASTARDS.

Mmm hmm! Sure do!

And that's the point, I get to spend my money on other crap.

You assume things: which makes an ass out of you and me. (mostly you here ^_^ )

I hardly drink (only at parties), don't smoke cigarettes, and have only enjoyed the pipe weed like 5 times.

The money I didn't spend on the battle scene BB went to Allspark Ironhide instead. :thumb

Oh... and:

Premium BB... battle mask, grey limbs AND the small pin striping on his alt mode! That's the BB I want! ^_~

I agree with Pascal...to a point.

There are some fans who expect a lot and don't want to pay for it, but at the same time it's been the way of the world. Back in the day, "basic" action figures like Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers averaged at $5. Now, $10 seems to be the average. At the same time, action figures in general are better than their 80's/90's counterparts.

Ten dollars for a basic is fine with me, and I didn't mind paying $20 for Screen Battles Bumblebee; I've grown fond of the mold and will probably get all versions I can of it--Premium, Stealth, and probably Cliffjumper. Besides, my original Deluxe '09 Bumbleebee cost me $30 on eBay, so I consider this one "cheaper."

It makes me laugh that "wise spending" argument. Where you think you save, you waste elsewhere.

The stench of troll is thick in here.

Some people don't mind paying 20$ repaint of a 10$ toy, some people don't mind spending 200$ on a Botcon repaint of a 10$ toy.

*shrug* Me, I find that the more frugally I spend my money, the more of it I have left to spend.
