Sari's Totally a Robot!

Recommended Posts

They're gonna have to do better than that, though. On multiple occasions Sari has been exposed to stuff that would indicate whether or not she had any "techno" in her at all. Most recently, Swindle's weapon, which had zero effect on her.

The only thing I can think of is the throwaway comment from Megatron when they found their underground base. He said that the carbon deposits in the mountain shielded them from the Autobots' sensors. Still though, I'm pretty :wtf on the whole idea. They're gonna have some 'splainin to do if they seriously want to go in this direction with Sari.

Maybe she's like DARYL? A fully organic body with a robotic brain...

lol DARYL

but see, that's where I get stuck with this. A robotic *anything* would be shut down when Swindle activated his Ray Of All Robotish Stuff Stopping.

Electricity + Magnetism = Electromagnetism in the TF:A-verse.

I imagine it's just as simple for techno-organics to be immune to anything that affects machines... and even have organic DNA.

Besides, that "Ray Of All Robotish Stuff Stopping" should technically shut down the human nervous systems of everyone in range so it's already not internally consistent.

If humans were somehow shielded that hybrid humans probably would be too.

yeah, but even bumblebee was still able to hear and see everything, he just couldn't move or talk.

Well, right. That's what "stopping" means.

And I do acknowledge the "electromagnetism" science of Animated. As I said, I could see them saying something like "oh she wasn't affected because she was coated in organic material" or some such BS -- though I suppose it worked for Beast Wars. (Not for me though, I always thought that was the dumbest rationale ever. :tflaugh But I digress.)

But really, since they have put Sari in so many situations where her human-ness has been demonstrable, the writers have some work to do with their Magic Pen of Exposition.

or we could chalk it up to "just a cartoon" and still buy the kick ass toys?

The toon comes first for me...

I don't like to cop out like that, either. I'm fine with stuff like "electromagnetism" since it's not at all important to the story or any characters. But when the main human character on the show -- the "Spike" of Animated -- is facing a complete identity reversal, then I think it behooves the writers to make sure that they overcome the "WTF" factor with lots of good reasons -- not just technical but story reasons. Because if you think of Sari being a cyborg or a robot or whatever, that would completely change the dynamic of the show. She's the audience's connection to the robots. If she's a robot herself, then you lose the purpose of her character.

Spoilers be damned, they're doing everything possible to show us that Sari is human.

Again, my money is that she's techno-organic like Black Arachnia.

Sari and Arcee sound too much alike. And we have Arcee established as an espionage agent whose mind was wiped once to protect a secret.

Notice how Ultra Magnus was the only one who gave Optimus the chance to prove himself when he said the Allspark was on earth?

My bet is that Ultra Magnus KNEW where the All-Spark was all along and sent Arcee as a "sleeper agent" to watch over Sumdac and the Allspark.

Sari doesn't know she's Arcee. And Sumdac doesn't seem capable of building powerful AI.

My guess is that Arcee has been undercover as Sumdac's daughter with her memories erased. She's there to guard the Allspark.

And similar to how Black Arachnia became techno-organic by scanning a spider, Arcee scanned Sumdac himself to create a techno-organic human altmode.

Did you used to be Rodimus Minor? I think we already agreed on this theory if so. if not then that makes 3 of us. I don't know if I agree with all your reasonings but I do think Sari is Arcee.

So many things say she's not, like:

*she got old when her key was stuck in Blackarachnia

*she seems to age normaly

*she get tired like humans

*she cries

*shes organic

*she needs to "go to the bathroom"

and, if she's a robot, ill eat my WHOLE FREAKIN COMPUTER! WHILE ITS ON!!
